Amazing skill of taking long order without writing down, but seems understaffed given the crowd.

The damage? All in it came to only RM22, which is way cheaper if compared to other banana leaf joints. But beyond that this restaurant will always have a special place in our hearts, so would we come again? You betcha!

And one of the must have here is their Firewood Chicken Dhum Briyani. This time, we ordered the awesomely prepared chicken briyani which is packed with flavours and they comes with generous portion for sure. The Chicekn briyani comes with the kachchi mos (raw meat), marinated with spices overnight then soaked in dahi (curd), which is then sandwiched between layers of fragrant basmati rice, exotic Indian spices, Egyptian saffron, Persian cashews, and almonds. The meat was so tender and juicy and they are really awesomely good. Every mouthful of the briyani is just heavenly.

One of the signature (and popular) dishes here is the Nasi Ayam (RM55), aka chicken rice. Guests can opt for either roasted or poached chicken. We went for the roasted chicken and I was impressed by the generous portion that arrived. Tastewise, the chicken was tender and comes with three different dipping sauce - chilli, ginger and sweet soy sauce. The rice was pretty good too, as it was fragrant and flavorful. Overall, a pretty authentic rendition of a Malaysian favourite.

A banana leaf rice meal is not complete without some side dishes. Mutton and chicken, will be prepared in different styles daily (either masala, peratal or varuval) to offer choices to diners. During our visit, it was mutton masala (RM9.90); the portion was generous with tender, chunks of meat in a delicious gravy. Highly recommended!

Chicken Claypot, 8 ringgit + Wildboar Claypot. So, what is unique about this claypot rice? What is different about it, compared to other claypot dishes out there? Look at it – it is the spices. From the color of the rice itself you could most probably conclude that it is packed with flavor. It certainly was. The flavors will certainly cause a sting on your tongue, not the kind of sting you get from chilli, the kind that last long, nope, the sting here is due to the variety of spices used. Unlike the effects of chillies, the effects of spices is relatively short lasting, you feel the sting initially and it subsides and disappears as quick as it appears.

Seabass fish 65 (RM42 for 2 pax). We love this dish as it has a nice strong taste of mustard. The gravy was addictive and another dish that goes perfectly with white rice or a piece of Naan bread. Needless to say, the dish was full scoped up to the last drop of the 65 gravy.

The Khazana Mutton Biryani is a tantalising combination of Basmati-flavoured rice cooked with tender mutton, aromatic spices and egg in a whole wheat bread to seal in the flavour and juices, thus it also helps to retain the natural moist of the meat, making its texture juicy and more succulent prior to serving.
