Our boys enjoyed this Intercontinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur Afternoon High Tea more than we do. They enjoyed the cakes as well as the breads while we love the smoked Salmon rose as well as the tartlets. The scones are pretty good with cream and jams.
Overall, we are indeed falling in love with their awesome afternoon tea selection. The set completes with a pot of selected ronefeldt tea blends, premium coffee or nitrogen coffee.

It was a long time since I had lunch/dinner buffet at Contango which was about 4 years ago since I had the buffet dinner there with Japanese food and even lobster! Hence the price of RM118 (before tax is really worth the price considering the myriad variety of food, which rivals even the one at Four Seasons and the other 5 star hotels in KL which normally costs RM200++ for CNY buffet.

Steak Diane Fill up your tummy with the Steak Diane. The delicious and tender juicy grain-fed chilled sirloin ( 200g) is perfectly made and served together with the roasted potatoes and the creamy honey mustard sauce. It’s meat is perfect to my tastebuds and every mouthful simply divine.
Our favorite was the Twice baked cheese souffle (RM24) with creamy mushroom sauce and chunky toast. Rich and velvety with great flavours, this was so moreish, I wanted more.

The restaurant itself feels like a hotel breakfast room – in fact, I think it is – clinical, but not unpleasant. Staff were good, if overworked, with only one poor lady covering the outdoor section where we sat. Overall, everyone agreed that the food was quite good, but just quite a bit more expensive than it justified.

Still crispy at the outside, moist within though we took quite a while to figure out the best angle to take a picture for this “fish”.
