Overall, the sashimi and don we ordered were decent although the prices were on the slightly higher side. Some of the highlights include the aged salmon which is not commonly found in other Japanese restaurants and the chawanmushi which is really delightful. For the price tag, I would say the sashimi and sushi are probably worth it but I’m not that convinced about the rest of the items. Personally, the distance from my house is really far so I will not be going there any time soon
Fairly reasonable prices for the quality of ingredients here, Daiyusan Sushi Bar is worth trying if you want a no-frills dining ambience tucked away from the crowd.
While I enjoyed their spicy and sweet curry sauce and was impressed by their Salmon Aburi Onigiri, their fried sides were disappointingly small in size and lacking in flavour
Otoko is one of the newest additions to this Hougang enclave. This humble Japanese eatery first started out as a stall in a coffee shop at Sultan Plaza offering quality and comforting Japanese Donburi at affordable prices.
The idea of customising your own Japanese Curry Rice was fun, interesting and reasonably priced.
After an additional side order of a Char-Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Salad ($4.00), the bill for each person came up to less than $10. I was so pleasantly surprised!
Overall, we were utterly satisfied with our meal here, and considering the price we paid for such a sizeable portion of ramen, we are certain that we will be back to try their other varieties.
Overall, considering its prices, the standard of food served was quite good.
Sushi Express knows this food lover’s weakness: cheap, no-nonsense food on a conveyor belt service that fulfils a simple childlike fascination.

This new Yuba Hut outlet opened at the right timing and satisfied my cravings!
The price point is kind of affordable and most importantly they have mentaiko sushi which adds extra points to this restaurant.
I do like how Jin Ho pays attention to health as almost all the other dons are also served with edamame and cherry tomatoes to create a well-rounded meal.
With the successful opening of its first outlet at Pacific Plaza, Singapore, Tsuta has opened its second outlet at Tai Seng serving its michelin star ramen.
Their sushi makis were quite satisfying, and they should probably create a few more distinctive ones.
The pricing is pretty reasonable too, all prices quoted are nett. Do note though that this is a fast casual eatery so seating is pretty spartan, think wooden stools.
小馆提供多样化的饭卷、盖饭、串烧、刺身等等,最拿手的是以炙烧鲑鱼为主要材料的饭卷与盖饭,酱汁浓稠,味道浓郁,卖相也多汁诱人。
