The restaurant offers Shisha as well. The place likely a typical hang-out location for students from colleges nearby as it opens all-day-night long with free wifi and a huge outdoor-seatings area.

Freshly fried Tenggiri Fish was yum. Deep fried till crispy golden, the fish was moist on the inside and Golden brown on the outside. Food has the authentic Indian taste like the meal I had in India. Thanks for the recommendation Cutiepie, Must try place in Subang Jaya!!

The buttermilk chicken sauce tastes as good as it looks - thick, creamy, fragrant and a tad spicy, it was good dai chao standard! The boneless chicken was entirely chicken breast and was sadly overcooked. Stick to the in-bone version.

The service here was generally efficient. The place got a bit crowded after a while as it was lunch hour hence getting a staff to you did take a while. I asked for additional sambal which took a while to get. Anyway, I would recommend this place for the food and pleasant dining experience. I have not tried their western food but should I do, you guys will be the first one to know.

Overall Rating: 7/10. The prices aren't the cheapest, but our meals were substantial. I think most diners don't mind paying a bit more for the comfort of a cozy environment nonetheless. I'd like to return on another weekend for a leisure dinner.

The consensus of opinion among our group was that it was rather pricey for nasi campur, however, the place was clean and has an air-conditioned section; the non-air-conditioned area was also quite airy and roomy overall, so it’s worth it if you like to eat in comfortable conditions.

The first time LC and I were there, I had a small ikan pari. The portion tends to vary depending on the cook so if you'd like an exact size, pick it out yourself at the grill. The pari was beautifully charred and smothered with a tasty sauce which is also served to you as a dipping sauce alongside a fish curry sans fish. The fish came off the bone in beautiful flakes and was not overcooked nor undercooked.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT: 1. Keep expectations in check – it won’t taste like Kudu, Hammeediyah, Line Clear ok? 2. SELF SERVICE – Understand that she’s alone with some volunteers helping out so if you have to serve yourself (with her permission unless you want to ‘kena F**’), just do so. 3. Do not abuse her hospitality – as you can see from the prices these are pretty reasonable numbers for the ingredients, portion and taste. The brinjal, rice and ladyfingers are FREE. So is her coffee. Try to leave some for others ok? 4. Be honest – she doesn’t have time to calculate the price for every plate immediately after her patrons filled their plates. Usually she will come by much later and ask you what you had. You can take a picture of your plate (before eating) so you can show her when she comes by or just list out what you took (dish + quantity) honestly. Pay for what you eat. 5. Don’t linger. Eat and go. There are limited seatings so do give your seat to new customers. 6. Clearing of plates – don’t worry. Her helpers will do so, but if you wish to help, ask first. Do not simply step into her kitchen.

Bungkus Kaw Kaw@Subang Parade Restaurant

The kiosk "Bungkus Kaw Kaw" comes from the Malay word “bungkus” (take away) and the Hokkien word “kaw” (thick). The signature here is the authentic, full-bodied Malaysian drink (that is if you like the "Kopi Gao") to go, packed in a plastic bag and secured with a red plastic cord that also serves as a carrier sling.
