Sweet and sour pork chop rice set with a drink included - MYR12.90++ (10% service charge and 6% GST) which is about MYR15.05 nett. I chose a barley drink and requested it to be less sweet which they did fulfill. I like this set meal because the portion of rice is small and sweet sour pork chop is one of my favourite food from my childhood..

Run by the same folks behind Hello by Kitchen Mafia, Makhan by Kitchen Mafia is their newest food venture, that is comfortably tucked in The Gasket Alley, situated right next to Jaya One. There are two sections to their menu - one for all-things-British, and the other for Northern Indian cuisine, a rather uncommon, but not exactly a surprising combination.

Though you get organic vegetables from their garden, the price is pretty premium as well. Taste wise is alright (slight below average), not exactly great.

This time I ordered deep fried wantons (a plate of 6 pieces for MYR 6.90 nett) and Sweet Potatoes Tong Sui at MYR 4.90 nett but the latter was not available so I changed it to Red Bean Tong Sui at the same price so my lunch costs MYR 11.80 nett in total. The skin of the wantons is too thin so although it is very crispy, it is too oily but the filling is tasty with a cube of crunchy jicama or water chestnut in each wanton. I won't order it again because of its oiliness. I just realise that this combination of food is similar to my lunch at Weng Wah.

My lunch: Bubur Cha Cha MYR 5.50 nett and Bak Chang (粽子) MYR 6.90 nett. The Bubur Cha Cha has a lot of coconut milk in it and many cubes of yam and sweet potatoes so it was tasty as it was not too sweet. The Bak Chang has soft glutinous rice, salted egg yolk, a piece of fatty pork with a little bit of lean pork meat. It does not have that many ingredients in it but that is to be expected at this price. I will order this Bak Chang again.

Sotong goreng (fried squid) set. For RM13.90, it came served with six largish pieces of deep fried calamari, a heap of rice, curry sauce, cold cucumber and onion salad, peanuts and half a boiled egg. Quality was kinda meh. The squid was alright although the batter could have used some improvement. Curry sauce was weak with a bitter aftertaste. 5/10, average.
