A home for Baba-Nyonya treat! With a wide range of food selection on the menu, this restaurant houses many options of Baba-Nyonya food for the visitors to savor. We have tried out their Char Kuey Teow (costs RM 20.00) which comes with large prawns mixed with spices that delivers an appetizing experience.
An authentic Nyonya dish full of flavors and spicy too. I was biting into the pieces of chilli padi and that's the one that gives me the oomph. The chicken pieces are cut into small pieces and all are meat pieces with no bones which is good.
Overall we enjoyed the food here. If you are big fan of Patin tempoyak, you should visit this restaurant when you are in Temerloh. The grilled fish and ayam bakar is equally tasty and you can also check out some of their other dishes available. The food pricing is here is similar to Kuala Lumpur pricing. Go there early to avoid the peak hours crowd.
Stir fry pan mee is one of their signature. Slightly chewy homemade dough shredded by hand, blanched, then stir fried with caramel sauce. Topped with crunchy fried anchovies and shallots to create a complex texture. A great comfort food. For more punch, choose the spicy version.
In short, almost everything we had was tasty, and that's what makes this place my favourite eatery in Kuantan (better than Hai Peng Kopitiam in Kemaman too). Although its prices were slightly above average, it is worth the value paid. Pleasant-looking and comfortable kopitiam that serves good food and drinks, what more can i say?
Penang Assam Laksa tastes delicious just as what it should be: sour, with a ting of sweetness, slices of fish, noodles and accompanied by the usual pineapple slices, cucumber slices, pudina leaves, bunga kantan and lastly my favorite must have - shrimp paste.

The restaurant is constantly flocked by hungry diners, but they made it up with swift service. The restaurant is still a good bet if you are looking for some quick eats.
Overall, some of the dishes at Ferm were a hit and miss while some were decent enough for a good meal. The prices were also quite pocket-friendly as we ordered many dishes but the total was less than MYR 150.

Chicken Rendang RM 6 The chicken rendang was a bomb - one of the best I ever had. It's different from the numerous Malay kind of rendang ayam which I regularly had back in KL. Maybe here again this is cooked with their age-old heritage Indian Mamak recipes passed down from generations.
We don't mind eating there again for their service, ambiance and lovely food.
This Fish Head Curry was not the pre-cooked stuff. It was actually made to order and that being the case, you would need to wait for a while. When it was served, it was served piping hot and with burners beneath. The aroma was absolutely fantastic and it tasted so good. The curry was prepared according to the South Indian style and not the Indian Muslim way. What can I say about this Fish Head Curry, it was truly one of the best that I had tasted. Truly way better than the ones that we get in Kuala Lumpur. In fact, this preparation is hard to find in Kuala Lumpur since most of the Fish Head Curry places are dominated by the Indian Muslims. In short, it was heavenly and my rating for this shall be 10/10.
