Hike Bukit Kiara from Mont Kiara side.
This hill trail is huge, and easy to get lost if are you first time here. Use a hiking map App. There are a few main attractions: the big rock, bamboo forest, city view, angkor wat. We didn't go to..
The KL Bird Park is located in the heart of the serene and scenic KL Lake Gardens barely 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur… It is home to more than 3,000 local and foreign birds of approximately 200 different species…
I've got a confession to make. I'm addicted to hiking and climbing. The thing about hiking is, you just can't do it alone. You must have a buddy or a group to tag ...

Bukit Gasing and Taman Rimba Kerinchi is basically the same forest, where prior one is in Petaling Jaya and later one in Kuala Lumpur. Sadly the car park is closed on public holiday, so we have to..
Gelak-gelak member dengar.
Suitable for city-bound hikers and nature lovers of all experiences and ages, Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi gets my vote as KL’s answer to New York’s Central Park.
The Kepong Metropolitan Park, located at the Northern end of Jinjang, is famous among locals for the kite flying activities that are practiced at this public facility on a daily basis. The ideal place for kite enthusiasts, there is a huge field that runs parallel to the main road in the park that is specifically for this purpose. Most barriers and trees have been removed to ensure a clearance of at least 100m for the kites to take off.
By the entrance there is a great play area with swings. Kites and small refreshments are sold by the car park. Early morning the options were drinks and keropok, but by the looks of it there will be a bit of a mini-bazaar later on in the afternoon. Near the entrance there is also a large circular area perfect for learner cyclists.
A great way to spend your time outdoors with your family. :)
Explore the tranquility of the Taman Tugu trail, nestled beside Tugu Negara / National Monument in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Perfect for those seeking an escape from indoor monotony during the pandemic, this 6km forest trail is open to the public daily, from 7 am to 6:30 pm – and it's absolutely free!
The Orange Trail in Taman Tugu is the newest addition to the park’s hiking trail network. It adds an extra 1.2 kilometres and snakes around the once-empty eastern part of Taman Tugu. This trail is a low-to-medium intensity hike with a fair amount of uphill near the end.
If you’re planning to walk several trails within Taman Tugu, the Nursery Trail is a good warm-up or cool down hike. This very short trail is low-intensity and marked in blue on park maps. It is only 1 kilometre and will take less than thirty minutes.
It's round and slopes down. A star-shaped water fountain sits in the center. I was here to warm up my rusty muscles before the Guardian Walkathon.
Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 6 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, trail running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
The Sri Bintang Hill Trail is a popular hiking spot for the residents around the area of Bukit Sri Bintang. Although it is not as well known as other hiking spots in KL, such as Bukit Gasing or Apek Hill, there are always a good number of hikers around. It is a small area to explore with relatively easy hiking trails. While there are straightforward main paths to reach the peaks, you can also explore different subroutes and even loops, as there are many split paths in the area.
Long ago, Sri Bintang Hill used to be a part of the forest with Kiara Hill. It was then separated by the North-South Expressway flyover. Nevertheless, hiking activities to cross between these two areas are still very much doable. In fact, Trans Bintang Kiara trails have been regaining its popularity in recent years.
Bukit Jalil Park (Taman Rekreasi Bukit Jalil) is a popular recreational park in the southern suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, about 20km from the city centre.
Located some 20km from the city centre, the 80-hectare park is nicely landscaped, with jogging paths, equipment for exercising, picnic spots and ponds filled with catfish amidst lush greenery. If you’re lucky, you might even run into the small local wildlife, such as monkeys, cranes and monitor lizards!
Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, or Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, is an attractive and well maintained park in Kuala Lumpur with a wide range of facilities and things to do for the whole family.
Enjoy some rainforest nature and Kuala Lumpur city view at KL Forest Eco Park! The KL Forest Eco Park is located at the heart of the city next to the KL Towe...
A nice hiking trail in the middle of the city. The is a short NCP trail, can be completed in 20 minutes. There is a much longer CP which takes 2 hours, but with many shortcuts to shorten the trail...
Once the site of government homes and then an unofficial landfill, Taman Tugu was saved from commercial developers who probably wanted to put another crappy mall on the spot. Instead, it was converted to a 66-acre public park and conservation site with over 5 kilometres of trails.
When you are in the forest and suddenly you see a wild boar, what would you do? When we encounter wild animals like this, our first action is to stop, slowly step back and to avoid them. But have you ever thought of hiking carefreely while wild boars are passing by and roaming freely around you? Ketumbar Hill is the place to experience this.
The entire garden is so huge. Entrance fee is RM1 per person for those 12 years and above. Parking fee is RM5 if you park inside but we did not. We parked outside which is free of charge.
Kepong FRIM
Cheras is a good district to find hiking spots, there are the well known Saga Hill, Apek Trails, Ketumbar Hill, and also the less known Bukit Besi, which sometimes residents around the area don’t know about. The name (Besi = Iron) comes from the neighboring Sungai Besi which was a historical mining town.
