If you are serious about looking for good food in Melaka without all the touristy stuff, Jalan Tengkera is the place to be. Even after repeated visits here, I can still something new worth recommending. While waiting for our duck noodle at Soon Yen, I noticed this noodle stall next door that was doing brisk business. They are selling Wantan Mee and Fish Ball noodle which seemed nothing unusual but upon closer look, I noticed a difference in the noodle they use. Their wantan mee is prepared using thin and flat noodle which is similar to mee pok. They also donβt add chili sauce into the noodles which makes it different from most you find in Melaka.
Before Mango Float Royale Melaka started their business in Sungai Putat, the site was already known for mee kari. Mee Kari Sungai Putat has been around since 1990 and is currently managed by the 3rd generation of the same family. Now, both businesses are complementing each other, as those who come for mango float can have a proper meal at Mee Kari Sungai Putat, and vice versa. Because of that, the place has transformed into a popular stopover for tourists to enjoy a quick meal before heading into Melaka town.
They are located at the corner of the busy main road towards Ayer Keroh tol from the city. They have 3 branches at Melaka and Petaling Jaya. Overall, I think they food they served are unique and special which you only can find at Taiwan. However, the price is a little commercialized.
