My Personal Opinion After striking out twice with Hong Kong-style cuisine in Starz Kitchen and then HK Boy Cart Noodles, it was third time lucky and a relief to finally find Hong Kong-inspired food that I (at least) enjoyed. The prawn wontons, both the fried and soup version, are what you need to get here. The dry prawn roe noodles was the other surprise favourite but the luncheon meat rice was what I enjoyed the most. It's funny that I came here primarily to try their authentic wonton noodles (which is still more than satisfying) but leave raving about their premium quality luncheon meat and double egg rice. If I can only have one dish here, it'll be this one. Each time I'm in Pavilion now, I'm thinking of having it. ^_^

I had the shio ramen (RM28 for regular) while my friend had the shoyu ramen (RM28 for regular). I still love the broth and noodles (The broth was rich and creamy, noodles had a great texture) but char siu is just mediocre. We also ordered komi tamago each - cant believe they charge RM4 for the egg now, and the one we had this trip had a strange vinegary taste to it. :(

Jalan Alor curry mee is good. It is the authentic KL curry mee with thick spicy and savoury broth. It comes with cockles, some slices of chicken, long bean, beans sprout and brinjal.

I can never say no to a good plate of sang har meen. Soo Kee's Son (Meng Chuan) is one of the many sang har meen places on my radar (for the longest time) and we finally got to try it earlier last month when we were staycationing here as the hotel is only 500m away by foot.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend nor would I return to eat here again. The main reason I dropped by was to check out one of the oldest standing wantan mee restaurant in KL. Sad to say, just like Koon Kee, both have seen their best days long ago. Still, worth a try if you are longing for a taste of heritage, or what the Chinese would call 古早味.

福建面油亮油亮,不会太干,也不会太湿,浓度刚刚好,一吃就知道是高手之作,发觉这里用的虾特别大只(还有客人加虾呢) 大碌面因为浸过热水,口感特别柔软,还残留一些碱水味,入口热腾腾,很顺口,整盘福建面没多久便被我“吞”进肚子里,好久没有吃福建面吃到那么过瘾了!
