Yum yum food! All the dishes that we ordered were generally satisfying, even though there were quite some food items including cakes were not available.

Seems like a popular cafe on Google, the place is fairly empty for Saturday brunch. Many food and cakes are not available, including poach egg 😥 Nevertheless, the food is pretty good and a quiet environment.

Tuesday, 29 November 2016 Thursdvys @ Taman Tun Dr Ismail My morning class was cancelled, SO GOOOD!!! The lazy us decided to have tasty breakfast before our afternoon class. We choose Thursdvys as it is located along our way to college. Thursdvys is located at TTDI, Kuala Lumpur (Next to Torii). We were greeted upon entering and the staff seated us in the 2pax table. Once seated, she gave us the menu to browse through. You have to order and pay at the counter. I ordered Babas Breakfast Set and Aglio Olio Pasta. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived at 12pm but it was filling up for lunch. The ambiance of the cafe was good, bright and welcoming. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas for the customer. Breakfast set is served with complimentary coffee/ tea. Flat White was milky and velvety, it's like drinking a milk coffee. Yummy!! Aglio Olio Pasta was super duper yummy. A lovely combination of fresh garlic, shallots, parsley, capsicum, beef bacon, prawns tossed in olive oil. A simple yet delicious dish. Breakfast set is served with Scramble Egg, Beef Bacon, Toast, Sautéed Mushroom, Hash Brown, Tomato and Beans. The scramble egg was creamy and fluffy, beef bacon was good and the mushroom was fresh and flavourful. For me, everything in the place was perfect. Breakfast set @ RM 26 Overall, it was a perfect breakfast for us. Super delicious foods, pleasant service and lovely environment. What can I ask for more? It's just perfect for me. Second visit? A BIG YES for me!!

Yin’s Sourdough Pizza offers Neapolitan style pizza, baked in a stone oven, with a chewy slightly charred crust and ‘soup-y’ center. I had no qualms about the soup-y center and found the chewy crust to be utterly enjoyable. There is a slight tangy taste of the sourdough but not overwhelmingly so. Most enjoyable was the slow cooked tomato paste which married beautifully with the sweet zucchini and eggplants. The usual carnivore in me hardly missed the absence of meat in this vegetarian pizza!

There is so much space at the dining area and the open concept even extends to the open kitchen where you can watch the pizza maestro freshly handcraft your pizza to order. My jaw dropped when I spotted a few Tablets left (securely locked of course) on the long table for visitors to do a spot of casual browsing.

The concept of this sandwich eatery is simple. You choose the bread, the ingredients and the sauces you would like for your sandwich. Other than customisable sandwiches, they also serve the typical all day breakfast which comes in sets, pasta and burgers. In terms of its price, it is definitely very affordable. If only you could get food this affordable in KL.

First impression: choices are aplenty and most of their sandwiches are priced under RM10. The ordering system is similar to Subway’s; you choose your bread, main ingredient, add ons and sauces. If you are wondering, they are halal certified too!

Mariah Berry Sandwich, 19 ringgit The dish consisted of Cajun style roasted chicken + homemade organic cranberry sauce + spicy herb mayo with Panini. The combination was mouth wateringly yummy. The roasted chicken came in a generous quantity and that mayo, it was thick yet airy, with a nice flavor to it. There was also quite a good spread of the cranberry sauce/ jam. It wasnt too sweet and it came with bits and pieces of cranberries. Do imagine the variety of flavor you’d taste with this sandwich – from the not too sweet cranberry sauce to the herb mayo and the Cajun style roasted chicken. Yummmm.

The interior design of this cafe is the only O’briens branch in Malaysia that truly resembles the real ambiance of those O’briens establishments back in their home country itself. Not only the space is warmly illuminated by both fluorescent as well as natural lights, the café is also vibrantly designed to such a way that it’s not a palatably pleasing but also a feast to the eyes.

But perhaps what we like the most about Sandwich Express is that they don’t stinge on the amount of fillings. You get almost an equal ratio of bread to filling for great satisfaction in every bite.

Duck Meat Soup with Vermicelli Noodles , the soup was jam-packed with the meaty flavor from the Duck (though some will define it as gamy) while the Vermicelli Noodles were carefully cooked till the right texture- not slouchy nor hard to the bite. Carnivores will be excited to see the generous serving of meat in this bowl of meat-wholesomeness. Eat it together with their marinated Garlic and Chilies for another different experience, the sour-spicy kick enhances the flavor instead of over-shadowing it. Try to believe.

Vietnam's cuisine is greatly influenced by France, when they introduced us their Ham & Roasted Pork Sanwich , we didn't hesitate to try. The ham they used were homemade and it is very different with the western ham we usually have especially its texture and taste. We find their roasted pork eminently scrumptious, expelling the pork's aroma yet keeping the meat's moisture. They have considerably separated the cilantro in case some find its strong scent intolerable. Or else, you may sandwiched them between the bread.
