After much anticipation, Swedish furniture giant retailer, IKEA Tebrau (Johor Bahru) finally opens its door to the public on 16 Nov 2017. Said to be the largest store in South-East Asia, IKEA Tebrau outlet span across 46,713 sq meter with 54 showrooms.
The dishes we tasted today were delicious. I suggest checking out Eugene's Grocery's set lunches for best value.
They don’t call wagyu the “Rolls Royce” of beef for no reason, and Eugene’s Grocery wanted diners to try the variants of wagyu so that we can compare the nuanced tastes side by side.
A main highlight of Eugene’s Grocery is their beef, imported from countries such as USA, Australia, New Zealand and of course, Japan.

JJ Wine & Tapas Bar is a place worth considering for your special dates like Valentines, anniversaries and celebrations. The range of wines and liquor is among the top in Johor. There are many good dishes to enjoy with your drinks. 4-star dishes which I especially enjoyed are the char grilled NZ lamb cutlet and Australian wagyu steak.
The newly refurbished JJ Wine & Tapas with its modern baroque aesthetic deco portrays an elegant yet sophisticated ambience which is enhanced by a tint of European flair. The bar has a kitchen and serves bistro tapas style dishes created by Chef Revelino who has gained his culinary experience in Australia. The dishes have been designed to complement the wine selection while also cater to customers who prefer to have food with their wine.
Fat Butchery is also a good place in JB to get premium meats, seafood and vegetables for your home. Next time, I shall try the other produce like Iberico pork at Fat Butchery.
My focus was obviously on the wide array of food products! It's not incredibly large but for food; quality counts more than quantity / variety.
Again, the quality didn't disappoint; nicely segmented with small or no seeds. I would prefer if they were a bit more chilled though but not many would do it like I do; buying a few kilograms from the market, put in the fridge and slowly finish them over a few days.
