Now, the butter wasn't very rich, and the coffee itself was rather acidic (I only drank half of the cup).
There is service at the tables, whereas a self-service system is practiced at other outlets, making use of the buzzers.
I can never get enough of kaya and french toasts! I would not proclaim I lurvee them but they make satisfactory breakfast. My only complain is that the slices at Ya Kun are too small, one plate is not enough to to fill me up.
The satay was cooked just nice, meaning it was at its most tender, but had no char. The satay sauce was very good though, nutty, sweet and slightly tangy from the pineapple purée.
A very competent satay even though they don’t make their own.
The satays here are cooked-to-order, so they are still juicy upon serving. The skewered meats achieved the right amount of char from the grilling. You can tell they have been seasoned and marinated well because they are tender and flavourful.

The Kongsee located at 10 Gemmill Ln, Singapore 069251 is about a year old at this stage and is a mecca for cocktail aficionados...
I love and support you, Willin Low, the chef-partner of Kongsee, but I gotta tell the truth: the mod-sin cuisine is disappointing. I can’t be sure because I didn’t ask, this is not a fact, it’s a guess: That pizza tasted like a factory made prata with toppings. My friend and I quit the place after a few dishes and drinks and went to a hawker centre.
The Place The name Kongsee has two meanings. The first being “company”, as in a commercial business, in Hokkien – a Chinese dialect. Second, it also refers “to share” in Malay. With these, you can …
On the whole, I enjoyed the food at Cook & Tras Social Library.
Alone or with a group, I believe there will be an ideal spot for you.
The whole interior space is perfect for the gram and a nice, cosy place to chill after a long day of work.
A must have is Chef Damian's Kueh Kasui. It is the best steamed tapioca kueh with gula melaka I ever eaten.
My absolute favourite from the new menu is the Pork Knuckle Debal (S$68), a dish inspired from leftover meats from Christmas feasts by Damian’s granddad.
Perfect place to rediscover some long forgotten flavours of Straits cuisine.
Not bad, but not memorable in terms of flavour and quality, despite the price.
The A4 Premium Yakiniku Don with Wagyu loin was quite delightful. The meat was flavourful and mildly sweet, tender enough with some fats but still had bite (although some pieces were a bit tougher). The sauce mixed with the rice was also very nice.
One of the best places to experience our truly uniquely Singaporean cuisine! The food is authentic and made without compromise!
This is probably one of the most ideal restaurant in Singapore to have a taste of heritage cuisine.

If you’re ever hankering for fantastic desserts in Chinatown, Wang Yuan Desserts & Coffee is a good place to be.
Wang Yuan Desserts and Coffee offers a comfortable environment to hide away from the hustles and bustles surrounding it.
Chye poh kway teow with fried chicken wings is a truly amazing combo. Now, there is a more affordable option for chye poh kway teow, I don’t have to break my bank to enjoy it at expensive Teochew restaurants!
It comes as no surprise that the stall is named "Haha" because all the customers are happy with the incredible value.
Nevertheless, this black bean sliced fish hor fun did not impress me as much as their sliced fish bee hoon soup did which I will stick to for future visits.
The soup has a gingery and delicate taste.
Based on this visit to Momma Kong’s, I would suggest to have only their crab. As for other dishes, I think we can do without.
for my taste, char siew is average or below…

the dry wok large intestines 干锅大肠 is the best dish here, so we have to die die order that.
Though their prices are a little on the high side, their attentive service makes it worthwhile.
