The pricing at Lam’s Kitchen might be higher, as compared to your usual coffee shop pricing, but the quality well justifies it. SHIOK!
The total price of our Heng Heng Bak Kut Teh auspicious lunch was $70. For a BKT place, the restaurant is clean and organised. It can be a good place to bring a foreign visitor to experience Singapore bak kut teh.
It was pretty early in the morning and I was waiting around Farrer Park Hospital and in search of breakfast. I found myself at Heng Heng Bak Kut Teh. It was a little too early for me to get the fis…
Really flavourful and tender yong tau foo, well marinated with some smokiness. Nice and worth going back for.
One of the worthy meals to go for if you are looking for some nostalgic home cooked food especially.
The blue cod fish soup was very good and flavourful, light yet thick with the flavours of fish and various vegetables like tomato and salted vegetables. The fish was also fresh, tender and well flavoured. Nice.
Comforting but full of flavour — that’s what Qing Feng Yuan 慶楓源’s fish soup is about. Check out this new seafood soup stall in Tiong Bahru!
If you love the chinese style of Mutton Soup, you would most probably hear of Hong Wen Mutton Soup as they have been long in the trade. Having visited Hong Wen Mutton Soup Stall in Beauty World Centre, this is the first time I'm patronizing this stall from Bukit Timah Centre
I’ve always enjoyed a bowl of mutton soup, so when my Makan Kaki, Chef Shen Tan of Newton nasi lemak stall OG Lemak recommended I try one in my neighbourhood, I was more than keen. Until I realized…
Their standards are still pretty uniform and perhaps this is my first and last chance in visiting their outlet in JCube.
One of the must-have here is the Doubled Boiled Chicken Essence Soup ($14).

Ah Er or Lao Er Herbal Soup has been popular for its rich and nourishing soup. They have gained a substantial reputation on the media in the past years.
Besides the mutton soup in Bukit Timah Food Centre, I think Hong Wen Mutton Soup is still the best so far.
In terms of taste, i would very much prefer the Poached Chinese Spinach Soup with Egg Trio and Wolfberries from Hualong Fishhead Steamboat & Tze Char but the price difference (S$9.00 versus S$3.80) and the convenience of being closer to Chong Pang hawker centre means i would still go for this stall whenever the craving hits.
