If you are a cheese fanatic, you should definitely check out the mouthwatering dishes such as Chicken or Fish Parmigiana doused with torched cheese. Their homemade meatballs is one of the best you can find in the town with its bursting flavour and juicy texture.
The Smoked Duck Breast Pesto Fettuccine was delicious but it was a little odd as there was minimal hint of Pesto (or Basil). In fact, it felt like Carbonara... but it didn't matter as long as it was good

Fish lovers has to try the Snapper, flavoured with seaweed butter, garnished with caviar, capers, peanut, chives, and lemon to create the zesty touch. Fish skin was deep fried to create gradation of texture to the Snapper. Alternatively, savour the tender and juicy Duck Breast that glazed with green peppercorn sauce, and beautifully dressed with green vegetables and raspberry.
Steak Frites' meat comes in 2 servings- 150 grams or 200 grams... hefty piece of meat grilled over high temperature for a beautifully charred surface and tender yet flavorsome flesh, perfectly rested so that barely any meat juice escape. It is then served with a home-made creamy sauce and crispy Fries. The fats were beautifully rendered... leaving a layer of smoky, addictive char yet, not overcooking the meat. Effort was unnecessary to slit through the meat, every mouthful of the meat was full of satisfaction. Definitely the type of meat that I would miss in no time.
The Ship is definitely one of the best steakhouses in Penang.

We were very impressed with the cut we had- Angus Striploin... it was meticulously cooked to the right doneness with all the meat juices locked within. The outside was perfectly charred while the inside remained succulent and tender. It was carefully seasoned with the right amount of addictive and alluring charred aroma... one of the best steaks around.
