Is the Famous Putu Piring Tengkera Melaka worth the visit? It is definitely must visit and must try. Go early to avoid the long queue and RM 1.30 is worth it as you pay for quality food. The over 30 years old Putu Piring is well up to their reputation.
The Famous Putu Piring Melaka Jalan Tengkera
When we arrived at the place, almost half of the tables were occupied and we managed to get a big table near the entrance with a huge fan (it's a hot day). Thankful for that. This place is famous for its prawns. The price is also pretty reasonable.
I won't say that this is the place that is mostly visited by the locals to get their Siew Pow fix. In fact, there are many small bakeries in Seremban that is famous for this. However, these are the guys that have put Seremban on the national food map in the early 1990's and I thought that due respect had to be given to these guys. Today, this is more of a tourist stop but still, their Siew Pow's are pretty good. Not to say the best in Seremban as I had previously mentioned, nevertheless still good and value for money. Worth a stop if you have never taste Seremban Siew Pow's before.
Anyway, bought Chicken Siew Bao and Pork Siew Bao from there and ate it on the spot since it’s still freshly baked and hot. They both tasted very yummy. It’s not so awesome when it’s cold so I recommend that if you can, eat it right away, either way, heat it when you got back home.
I had the Mamee in Kuah Lodeh, which is the creamy, coconut-rich gravy that is usually served with lontong (compressed rice) – only they replaced it with noodles, of course! Portions were generous; there was plenty of shrimp and tofu to soak up the delicious broth, topped with half a boiled egg. The noodles were springy with a slight bite.
Cuppa noodle. Each cup is priced at RM5.20. You can choose between Chicken or Curry or Tom Yam flavor seasoning for your noodle later.
One of our first stops was Mamee Jonker House... who doesn't love the blue iconic Mamee Monster? Here, you will find a cafe (serving local food) and there is also a Merchandise area, Noodle Doodle area upstairs (where you can doodle on your noodle cup and watch it being packed) and a Lil Monster Kitchen (available weekends only) to see how Mamee Monster is made.
This is a real tourist spot since we saw so many tourist
Hello there! I get so annoyed about what to say in the opening, you know the opening speech is the most important part to attract readers to continue reading ...
The wave of boutique café has not only swept over the metropolitan of KL, but has also invaded into the radars of urbanites residing in the Pearl of Orient. China House (which most of the time, I tend to accidentally enunciate it as White House-US, lol), is one of the several brands that has sprung up lately, occupying a three-linked compound, at the heritage-rich locale of Beach Street.
Shopping at Ah Ma House reminds me of my careful childhood years, with all the goodies that I used to buy and enjoy after school. Time really flies. It felt as if it was just yesterday I indulged in those snacks and now I’m already a mother myself.
Besides the traditional snacks, there are handmade souvenirs for sale as well such as those boxes of beetles saying I love you.
Ah Ma Bakery is a traditional bakery shop. Their products is mainly from the traditional recipe from their grandmom.

After the museum, we went to Paddy Processing Factory & Gallery’s mini market. Spotted this ice cream fridge with many kinds of flavours. So many until we don’t know which one to choose so we didn’t eat any ice cream.
Visitors to Paddy Gallery are treated to a video presentation as well as a short talk by one of the staff, to better explain the entire process of how rice comes to be. Paddy Gallery, Malaysia’s first ever, is also home to a good collection of artifacts and items related to paddy planting and the rice industry in general.
A'Famosa Animal World Safari is definitely one the place that should be in your consideration. RM45.00 (adult) and RM33.00 for kids above 90cm. I have to purchase a ticket for my son who is just 3 years old. The price is definitely costly. However, the price comes with a free lunch and a drink! So now you know why the price is that costly.

Tsutaya is definitely worth a visit – and kudos to the management for managing the crowd well on its opening weekend. We recommend spending some time for a cuppa and savouring the Japanese confections at the cafe.
It is one of the biggest bookstore in Malaysia with café, specialized merchandise as well as activity areas especially for children. The actual space of the Tsutaya Books Malaysia is 31,000 square feet!
The dishes we tasted today were delicious. I suggest checking out Eugene's Grocery's set lunches for best value.
They don’t call wagyu the “Rolls Royce” of beef for no reason, and Eugene’s Grocery wanted diners to try the variants of wagyu so that we can compare the nuanced tastes side by side.
A main highlight of Eugene’s Grocery is their beef, imported from countries such as USA, Australia, New Zealand and of course, Japan.

JJ Wine & Tapas Bar is a place worth considering for your special dates like Valentines, anniversaries and celebrations. The range of wines and liquor is among the top in Johor. There are many good dishes to enjoy with your drinks. 4-star dishes which I especially enjoyed are the char grilled NZ lamb cutlet and Australian wagyu steak.
The newly refurbished JJ Wine & Tapas with its modern baroque aesthetic deco portrays an elegant yet sophisticated ambience which is enhanced by a tint of European flair. The bar has a kitchen and serves bistro tapas style dishes created by Chef Revelino who has gained his culinary experience in Australia. The dishes have been designed to complement the wine selection while also cater to customers who prefer to have food with their wine.
