A must to try and they are absolutely my favourite. The Japanese Bean Curd is being deep fried till perfection with the crispy at the outside texture and the inside brings you with the melts in the mouth sensation. They are indeed superb and every mouthful is delectably delicious!
The main dish from this menu, that we ordered is the Pomfret Steamed with Sour Plums, Tomatoes and Preserved Vegetable 潮州蒸鯧魚. This dish is best eaten with rice as the sauce was just done to perfection.
The chee cheong fun with prawns (RM14) was silky smooth
What do We Like about Purple Cane Tea Cuisine, The Gardens Mall? -Tea infused soup served in a tea pot and drink with tea cup -Variety of set meals to choose from
One of the signature for the restaurant is this Black Tea Curry Lions Mane Mushrooms. The curry is not too thick, yet you would easily need to bowl of rice for this. So easy to eat, super mild spicy with mild creamy. Instead of santan the replace it with Almond milk.
This looks nice doesn't it? It even has two large pieces of Huai Shan (淮山 - wild yam) which I thought was daikon until I bite into them.
Reasons to try the TWG Tea Sparkling Afternoon Tea: free-flow sparkling, wine or tea as you choose; refillable canapes; a thoughtful menu of tea-infused sweets and savouries.
Most of us chose the Grilled Wagyu Burger (RM45) and I can see why it's a favorite here! Tender and juicy, the beef patty was sandwiched between homemade buns with lettuce, tomato and Emmental cheese. This is accompanied with matchstick fries as well as mesclun salad tossed in an 1837 Green Tea infused vinaigrette.
TWG fine luxury tea. TWG exquisite afternoon tea. To us, TWG Tea Salon and Boutique is very much associated with hi-tea style dining in an elegance ambience. In other words, shame to say, we actually put less focus on their savoury menu every time we are here, until we tasted their Festive Set at TWG Tea Salon and Boutique, Pavilion KL. For TWG Malaysia Festive Set Menu, diners can enjoy throughout the month of December 2017, all day at TWG Tea Salons & Boutiques Pavilion KL, The Gardens Mall and Gurney Paragon Mall. Full 3-course set is priced at RM98+, including a choice of TWG Tea*.
Do you fancy a cuppa tea and scones? If that’s a definite YES, check out Miss Ellie Tea House – our favorite place for homely and reasonably priced scones.
Reasons to visit: charming setting; welcoming family feel; some of the best homemade desserts and cakes in the city; great value comfort meals made with heart.
Bangers & Mash, 17.50 ringgit. Okay, if you guys have visited the UK, you’d most probably heard/know of Bangers & Mash. They take their bars seriously over there and this dish in particular is served in almost every bar. To find a relatively good cafe/restaurant locally that serves Bangers & Mash is kindda hard to come by. The one served here though – YUMMM ! Really good stuff. The mash potatoes were as smooth as butter and literally melts in your mouth. The chicken sausages – da bomb. Soft, meaty, chewy, tasty. I couldn’t ask for anything better.
With the happers pink bazar, this high tea session at the St Regis KL remained faithful to the classic combination of finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet pastries accompanied by a remarkable selection of lovely tea choices. All three of us ordered three different tea and all three were pleasant if not magnificent to pair with the tiers dainty sweet treats. Sampled morsels of their splendid sandwiches and experienced the friendliest and most charming service by the immaculately suited servicing team. Cheers to breast cancer awareness in a fashionable way, this exclusive afternoon tea set in conjunction will be made to public starting16th Oct – 16th Nov (available fr from 3pm to 6pm) with each set (for 1 pax) being accompanied with 1 limited edition BAZAAR designer pink ribbon. Experience the signature St. Regis Afternoon Tea, as 'The' Mrs. Astor would have enjoyed back in the 19th century, at The Drawing Room of The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. Inspired by the rolling hills of Malaysia's tea plantations, The Drawing Room is a choice venue for a relaxing afternoon tea or a gathering with friends for an elegant celebration. Be captivated by the refined elegance of the décor, designed to evoke an enchanting afternoon tea experience.
Reasons to visit: A fantastic place to get into the holiday spirit. Whether it’s an afternoon tea or a larger holiday meal, the food, atmosphere and service are all top rate and you’ll leave feeling festive. And, the strawberry chocolate fountain is great fun too.
Steaped's Sweet Apple Pie @RM12.00 (regular)/RM13.50 (Large) - This is their most popular drink under Rooibos Signature Drinks category. Personally, I would really recommend this drink for being a starter in appreciating tea. The ingredients in it are rooibos, apple juice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Rooibos itself is a costly ingredient so you would expect the price of this drink would be slightly higher than others.
Silly Ole’Bear. (RM 11 (R) | RM 12.50 (L)) Silly Ole’Bear, a delicious and healthy blend of hibiscus floating on top soothing jasmine green tea and citrus orange. We love the citrus taste of it which brings you with the refreshing blend and not sweet.
Steaped, a brand-new, full-fledged service tea company from Canada, has officially opened its doors to all residents of Kuala Lumpur this past January, with intent on exploring the untapped and delicious potential of the worldwide tea market in Asia. Borne from a common passion of 2 bosom friends for bringing tea cultivation and availability to a region that is mostly known for its coffee obsession, Steaped has uniquely positioned itself into launching a trendy, modern tea yet healthy, one-of-a-kind blends right in the heart of Malaysia market.
So a nice place despite the view, very good staff, and food which was interesting, playful and generally high quality…why not full marks? The answer is the price, which was high at RM148 per set, or 2.5 times that of even the Majestic. Even if we had shared one (feasible, as we were both quite full afterwards), rather than had one each, it would still have been a hefty bill for what we got. However, as an extremely occasional treat, it was enjoyable.
I had this on last year November, so honestly, I cannot remember the taste of every items of the afternoon tea set but one thing I can safely say is, the food was not on a stellar level. Although the food wasn’t mind blowing, the charming and elegant interior made up for the shortcoming.
I ordered the Hanami Tea and had Francais Chicken Waffle Set (RM29) which turned out to be the best waffle I ever had but don't go there on an empty stomach. I am very particular about waffle after all. The chocolate waffle was crispy unlike those in other cafes. The icing on the cake was definitely the bull's eye egg which I reminded them to make it such a way.

Started out in Damansara Uptown 2 years back, Tea Press impresses many tea lovers with their premium Japanese tea, brewed by well-trained tea sommeliers. Their success has led them to the opening of new outlet in the bustling Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar Kuala Lumpur.
This rice bowl was real good, I had a jolly good time eating it. It consisted of an egg, grilled chicken in teriyaki sauce, capsicum and rice. The teriyaki sauce was sweet-ish and when given a nice mix with all the other items in the bowl, you’d get a nice gooey, sticky, sweet rice bowl. Sticky thanks to the egg, it helped gel all the ingredients together. There were plenty of soft, chewy, boneless chicken, enough to last till the last spoon. The capsicum was an added bonus because it added texture, provided a ‘crunch’ to the whole dish. Very nice. Yum.
Milk: Tiger Sugar milk is thicker and creamier, while The Alley version is more refreshing. Both are easy to drink.
新鲜出炉的烧烤鸡肉沙爹、香辣咖喱鸡、Roti Jala等全民美食,搭配无限畅饮的香醇拉茶,那是大马独有的下午茶。
In July, indulge in an afternoon tea with a French touch, accompanied by free-flow of Vanilla Tea. The three-tiered stand features Croissants with egg and tuna filling, Croque madame, Wild Mushroom vol-au-vents as well as a delectable assortment of petite pastries.

只需区区 RM15,你就可以一尝当贵妇的感觉,最贵的英式下午茶餐也只不过是 RM57。
Their hi – tea comes for two comes at affordable price which is RM 28.00 ++ per set where one can enjoy their savoury pasteries such as the Tuna Filo Puff, Sausage & Egg Quiche. With 2 scones with the homemade clotted cream and fruit jam. Sides with their hand brew flower tea with it. They also have other sets available which includes the English Royal Tea.
Verdict: 1. Ambiance wise, I totally have no complaints at all. Posh, trendy and elegant; Perfect venue to chill! 2. Thumbs up for the wide assortment of tea that wows me with unique and distinctive flavours. I think I'd consider reducing coffee and go for the healthy tea instead. 3. Recommended: Tea Verandah, Yogurt Tea, Scone
Each mini tart costs MYR 1.70 nett so 5 mini tarts cost MYR 8.50 nett. They are tasty so will buy them again when I am in the area.
Since its primarily a bakery, I probably should have opted for pastries for breakfast instead of Nasi Lemak! Not that the Nasi Lemak not tasty, in fact the very coconuty flavored Curry Chicken was quite nice; but including Teh Tarik its about rm$20!
Worth returning? Yes for more matcha dessert. We like the overall experience.
Here's the location.
I ordered the Iced Cube Chai, one of their signature drink. The ice cubes are actually made from freezing the tea into cubes. Pretty cool right. Honestly, it takes a while for the iced tea cubes to dissolve and mix with the milk. I had to keep stirring. It was good though. First thing you get to taste is the milk tea (which also has a nice scent to it), followed by a minty after taste because of the mint leaves. I removed the mint leaves soon enough as I didn't want my milk tea to have a strong minty taste.
We ordered a water turtle Oolong tea or the so called Da Hong Pao (大红袍) tea for sharing. It was served with a pot of boiled water, a serving pot and two glasses for us to make the tea. The owner had also kindly explained to us as in to rinse, smell and soak the tea before drinking it.
The Cafe offers breakfast (less than rm$10) until 11pm; there are 10 variants of set lunches from rm$13.90 - rm$15.90 and all comes with the house brew tea.
I chose the Aglio Olio with duck meat as the main course, average in taste and a bit oily!
The winter melon tea tasted quite sweet even though at 30% sugar. Jing Syuan tea tasted just like usual tea, nothing to shout about.
