9/10 STarss... Taste Of Heaven I've eaten BBQ Thai more then eating rices in my life and this place is seriously one stop to heaven . BBQ Thai become one of rif’s favorite places to go to when he’s craving Thai food – BBQ Thai is known for its Thai street food and grilled items like pork neck and squid.
I like Rama V and intend to go back to try a bit more of their vegetarian range. Luckily work keeps providing me the opportunity to do that! However, if you’re not a guest or on expenses, it might be a little bit pricey. That said, it’s definitely worth trying.
Rama V Thai Buffet Dinner details: Availability: 13 May – 2 June 2019 Price: RM89.90 per pax (Add RM9.90 for free flow beverage)
One of the girls favourite is this Queen Suriyothai @ RM 24.85 -Gin, Lynchee liquer, yuzu puree, lemon juice, egg white, sugar syrup, basil leaf. Refreshing, intersting, sourish, with hint of sweetness yet fragrant foam egg white.
Verdict: Satisfying flavours and portion, we enjoyed immensely the food we had and would highly recommend this place if you’re at this area.
Food was good and acceptable. I will likely return to try other brunch and dessert options, especially the ice cream!
Verdict: The server there is really accommodating to our request and speedy service .. It's better to make a reservation if you want to be in a big group as the space of this eatery is not that large and it fills up rather quickly .. They have recently updated their menu with the inclusion of the dessert menu!
Pork Bone Soup For PORK BONE lover, for sure you need to try the flavorful and refreshing Non-MSG PORK BONE SOUP. The owner has been trying out more than 5 trials just to get the perfect taste for all of you
The food is good, but not enough to justify the price and the service. One of those being dodgy and we might have gone back, but not both. We’ve noticed you can get delivery from here now, so maybe that’s the way to go!
A good choice I would say and they have a set menu and we went for it after checking out each item.
The Imperial Chakri Palace KLCC & Chakri Palace Pavilion “Tantalizing Tastes of Thailand” buffet dinner will be available daily from 30th May 2017. The buffet items are rotated from three different menus specially prepared for the month of Ramadhan and is open from 7.00 p.m. onwards. Priced at RM95.90++(KLCC) & RM85.90++ (Pavilion) per person for adults, RM49.90++ (KLCC) & RM42.90 (Pavilion)per child between six and ten years old and also for senior citizen (>60 years old) whilst children under 6 dine for FREE.
The setting is nice (though the low chairs were tough on my knees after a while), and the staff were efficient in dealing with a busy crowd, but the food’s probably not worth the round trip from KL. If you happen to find yourself out that way, then why not?
I highly recommend to try out their Tomyam seafood, pandan chicken, Gaeang Som FIsh, Salted Egg Calamari, Lala steam lemon sauce,Chap Oong omelet and the charcoal-grilled seafood( Kerang, Sotong, and Fish).
When it comes to Thai Green Curry, I usually like the gravy thick and packed with flavors. The one served here sure did deliver. The gravy was flavorful, the distinctive taste of green curry was evident here. It came with a generous portion of chicken meat, brinjal and long beans. It was yummy, I enjoyed myself. Burp!
Kha Moo (RM15). Hubby's stewed pork leg with 5 spices added on with a bowl of rice. Just nice for a one person meal he said. The pork was very flavorful and tender in texture.
It started raining as soon as we arrived at the restaurant... perfect weather for a bowl of piping hot tom yum. The menu here comprises of salads, noodles, fried rice, Thai-pas, main courses and drinks. Service is friendly and prompt, with food served within 15 minutes of us placing our order.
Chakri Palace Sky View Dorsett Hartamas would like to announce that they having LUNCH BUFFET on Saturday and Sunday due to high demands. Starting from 5th October 2019 onwards. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 𝟭𝟮𝗽𝗺 - 𝟯:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲: 𝗥𝗠𝟲𝟴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁
I was particularly impressed with the Thai Salads. Mango Papaya salad with catfish featured above was crunchy and refreshing and really epitomises Thai cuisine.
We walked around the spacious restaurant to sample delicacies prepared at the live action stalls. Our plates and bowls were filled with nicely-grilled Chicken & Beef Satay, Ikan Bakar and tongue-tingling Tom Yum Noodles.
Quick service, tasty food. Visit during Chinese New Year.
To be on the safe side, I decided to give the Green Curry a go. This dish was really tasty. The gravy was thick, milky and rich, packed with flavor. Lots of coconut milk, that is for sure. There were a generous portion of chicken, brinjal and green beans. The dish as a whole was a nice dish to have with rice. Sooo good.
In short, a decent restaurant for Thai food. Spiciness takes a major role in many of the dishes here and is more spicy than many other Thai restaurant. Therefore, suggest to order wisely, get a balance of spicy and non-spicy food. Wash down with Thai Milk Tea, Soya Bean, Betagen (0% fat cultured milk), all imported from Thailand.
The majority of the menu leans towards Thai specialities with Japanese offerings making up a small part of the menu only. The few that I tried, I have to say the Thai dishes made a more positive impact. The food I've managed to try here is average at best (though there's still plenty to try as the menu is quite extensive). Prices may be a little on the high side (for both types of cuisine, especially the desserts) but some of the Thai dishes do come in generous portion-sizes. I'm not sure if I'm convinced to order from the Japanese section of the menu again since they failed to nail the salmon skewer which I thought is one of the easiest things to execute. Managed by the fine folks of Chakri (of which I had the pleasure of dining before), I think the Thai dishes here are still worth checking out as they certainly won't be as expensive as Chakri. Just don't go in with too high an expectation and you should come off satisfied.
After a successful opening in Sunway Pyramid West Hotel last year, Sanoook Restaurant ventures into Pavilion Elite, cheering up KL folks with their creative Japanese Thai fusion delights. It is located same floor with Food Republic, near to Pavilion Elite entrance from Gindaco, in between Dolly Dim Sum and Nando’s.
Good place for a family Chinese dinner (though it is technically a Thai restaurant). Love the fried pork leg with Mongolian sauce. Spare ribs with champagne is nice as well.
8A, Jalan Semerah Padi, OFF, Jalan Kuari, 56100 Kuala Lumpur
Tamarind Hill’s Festive Dulang Set Priced at RM220.00 ++ per couple and available from 13th May to 4th June 2019.
Reasons to visit: Fine dining in airy natural surrounds. Good vegetarian main course variety. Well-priced unusual wine choices. The vegetarian menu may vary depending on availability of produce, but we are happy to see a real commitment to offering a full vegetarian experience at this fine dining establishment. The menu is priced at RM220+ per person.
Amarin is owned by the same company as Absolute Thai, but the prices are more expensive at Amarin. Even though we destroyed our tongues with that super hot stir-fried duck, we enjoyed the food at Amarin Heavenly Thai. Eating here is definitely an indulgence, but we would come here again.
It was a perfect dinner for us. I was so regretted for having my dinner somewhere else before accompany my sister to the Thai restaurant for dinner. If not, I should have ordered their Thai Basil Chicken here. Second visit? A big YES!! Everything was good from the service to the foods. Thumbs up!!
Red curry [Pork (RM19.80)/ Seafood (RM23.80)] If you adore hot and spicy food, this dish is not to be missed. There's just something so unique about Thai's red coconut, which sits on the sweeter side in comparison to Malaysian curry, but delicious in their very own distinct way. This curry is ideal to be eaten with rice, its thick and savoury broth would make you engulf the rice in no time. We opted for pork, and they were pretty fresh and came in decent amount. Basically their curry is on par with most of the Thai food chains out there, but are more reasonably priced. So the next time you're craving for Thai curry but not ready to burn a hole in your wallet, this place is definitely your go to.
I can't believe that for lunch, I only had this bowl of Red Ruby dessert at Tiffin's, Midvalley Mall. It was just ok, nothing to go back for.
To finish off our Thai dining experience, we tried the Seafood Tom Yum (RM28.80). The soup had a little bit of heat but is not overly spicy. A small plate of chopped chillies is placed on the side for customers to put it according to their preferred level of spiciness. Needless to say we dumped it all. If you like spicy food like us, you will probably like the hints of spicy kick in this dish.
Terbaik !
Moving next, we had the Christmas-on-Fire Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs (RM32). The meatballs are made from turkey and then it is then fried till crispy perfection and topped together with the freid garlic and chily. The al-dente pasta paired with the boucy juicy meatballs were just good and whats more with the kick of spiciness that comes with it.
One of our favorite dishes from their festive menu is the Tom Ka Rice with Sun-Dried Beef Strip and Som Tam (RM36). The beef strips are first marinated, hung out to air-dry, then deep fried and is served with a tangy, spicy tomato jaew sauce. It's like beef jerky but meatier, slightly chewy and absolutely delicious. This also comes with a green papaya salad (som tam) and aromatic Thai-style galangal rice pilaf cooked in coconut milk.
Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings RM18 Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings , one of our favourite Thai street snacks. Thai chicken wings appear to be drier and smaller in size but it is amazingly good with the extra crispy, golden brown outer layer laced with umami-ness of fish sauce, and tender meat locked with juiciness.
Pineapple Fried Rice (RM 19.90) Though the price is quite high for just pineapple price, but there were prawns and also a lot of ingredients inside.
The green environment is more pleasant to blow the water and the cool breeze, with Thai beer Chang Beer and Singha, a bucket of 5 Rm50 only!
