Overall, the service is efficient. Food prices may be a little steep but in terms of standard and quality, its commendable. Since there are a number of outlets, I do not mind revisiting for Thai Cuisine at any of their restaurant.
A place I don’t mind returning again and again, if they keep their quality consistent.
The only things I thought would have improved it was some crushed peanuts and some mint leaves.
I remember walking along South Bridge Road after having ice cream at Dopa Dopa Creamery and noticing a pretty crowded restaurant with an int...
The prawns were huge and fresh. And the soup had a proper kick. It was so yummy and addictive.
Gai yang was delicious. It seemed that the restaurant is known for this dish and the bird didn't disappoint. Meat was pretty tender and the marinate was quite tasty.
There are quite a number of very good dishes on the menu of Sawadee Thai Cuisine. However, other than the green curry, the items in the 2 bento sets we tried were fairly ordinary. It was not Thai food to rave about but we had a nice affordable meal for 2 for under $30.
Their sweet steamed tapioca was tasty enough that we still had room for them after the meal. As good as I remembered them.
Besides the delicious food, the service is great.
SOI 47 THAI FOOD is a Thailand food restaurant that occupied the spot where Studio Cafe used to be. I knew I had to thai'd that! The cafe has outdoor and indoor seating.
I've seen this chain around for ages but had never tried it until today. The menu was pretty standard Thai fare; there wasn't anything in particular that stood out about it, be it positively or negatively. But it was a step up from Thai Express at least, and they seemed to make a conscious effort of straining out the lemongrass from the soup above, making it easier to eat.
While I wouldn’t say that SOI 47 is the best Thai restaurant in Singapore, I have no doubt it is one of the most value-for-money ones around. And if I am in the area, a re-visit would be in place.
In case you are interested in the Paradise Teochew Chinese New Year Set Menus, they have a wide range of menus to choose from.
I would definitely love to be back again.
Also not to be missed is their oyster omelette. The crispy edges, gooey insides and tangy chilli makes this a must order if you love your orh luaks.
Overall, an interesting place for my business discussion, and a stunning one at that.
If you are looking for a nice quiet place to chillax in the midst of bustling Orchard (what an oxymoron) and have deep pockets to burn a hole in, this is it.
Greyhound Cafe is the perfect example of why I don't think an overseas outpost will ever fare as well as the original mothership.
The crab omelette was generously filled with fresh crab, which was really sweet, tender and qq. The eggs was fluffy inside and had a bit of a char outside, although slightly greasy. The most premium crab omelette I have eaten so far, but without any crispiness on the outside.
Authentic and homely Thai Food at Upper Thomson Road not to be missed.
Since we can’t pop over to the streets of Bangkok now, this is in fact one of the best that I can find now.
Savouring the dishes from other region in Thailand that we were not exposed previously at One Meal Around Thailand at Baan Ying Singapore is not only a feast but an educational meal to the Thai cuisine.
Having said, we would be more keen to visit Baan Ying for its ala-carte menu soon again as we heard positive reviews of them.
The spread is decent for this price point and the dishes were adequate in variety too.
So apparently this is a well-known stall from Holland Close, but I had never heard of them until I came across a pop-up of theirs next to Marina Bay Sands today.
If Holland Close is out of the way for you, their e-commerce stall is still up and running, with exclusive dishes such as Original Tom Yum Collagen Soup for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
really good! hum fresh sweet & very clean.
The spiciness is also customizable up to 3 levels so non-spicy eaters can enjoy this too.
Continuing my adventures at Upper Thomson road, here's tom yum mama!!
Overall, I was impressed by the quality and taste of the food given their prices.
We always see crowds at Sanook Kitchen and this time we went in. It’s a chain that has started to spring up in many malls.
Okay if there’s one thing that may not be recommended, it’s this Seafood Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste. The rice is fragrant and tasty with the shrimp paste, but it kinda felt rather ”empty” as there were but a few shreds of egg and a couple of prawns.
Only the tom yum fried rice is good. Flavourful with a nice wok hei. Well balanced of spiciness and sourness without being too heavy on one side.
Though food from Took Lae Dee is pocket friendly and Authentic, cooked by Thai Chef, I find that its a standard fare. Pricing-wise, it's not cheap in my opinion.
Affordable and satisfying!
Took Lae Dee in Tai Seng has an air-conditioned dining area designed around an open kitchen.
What we liked about it was that the tom yum broth was addictive in it's own tamarind-y way though.
After having so much of the ubiquitous Thai dishes, savouring unusual items such as White Curry makes Noodle Thai Thai Kitchen a good option for Thai food.
I can never visit Long Chim enough to finish trying everything on the menu because I keep going back to the classics. That said, more visits await.
Street food is something that I have not garnered enough guts to try off the streets of Thailand yet and I'm sure Chef knows there's an entire community of people who'd love to, with the hygience. Long Chim answers all of that and I'm a fan.
With 12 established and famous Thai restaurants gathered together at the same event and music and arts, this is certainly a flawless formula attracting all foodies and not to be missed by in particular Thai Food lovers.
This is a refreshing twist to the traditional yu sheng with slices of salmon gravlax, vegetables, Thai green mango, papaya, pomelo and pickles dressed in a plum and passion fruit sauce.
I'm kinda torn about how I feel about this place. The stingray was a dud, which was not acceptable. But the restaurant was not entirely without redemptive qualities. Also at prices like these, I'm happier eating at Sawadee Thai or Gin Kao.
Overall, Blue Jasmine Thai Restaurant is a new restaurant that is quite out-of-the-way. We think it is worth the trip to Farrer Park to try some Thai cuisine that is quite nicely done with some creative elements.
It’s no secret I miss travelling to Thailand and I believe many people right here in Singapore feel the same way too although the general co...
Overall, very shiok to eat. 😋
The real star is the texture of the trotter itself, though. The meat is barely holding together, so thoroughly braised, while skin and fat alike have an enticing wobble without any of the gumminess that often happens when skin is braised, releasing collagens.
So if you are bored of Singapore Style of Chicken Rice, Go-Ang Pratunam might just be another of your chicken rice choice.
I'll stick to their chicken rice instead; their prices are still amazingly low either way.
I can say that most of the dishes were presented and tasted very similar to their equivalent dishes found in Singapore dishes.
The Fried Garlic Bits & Chilli with Prawn ($18) was yet another moreish dish imbued with tons of flavour. Spoon up the crispy garlic bits and relish them with the large, plump prawns dressed in a sticky, sweet sauce. If you’re a fan of garlic, these two dishes are just what you need for an incredibly satisfying meal!

Soi 47 King George Ave REview
We enjoyed our simple lunch at Soi 47 Thai Food. We would go try their other dishes such as Claypot Tang Hoon with Prawns, Pandan Chicken and Stuffed Chicken Wing.
As the new outlet of Soi 47 is just starting out, service can take a while. Keep them some time to settle down, and you will find this a good hidden gem in this part of Singapore.
Food at Khao Hom By Rung Mama is Thai cuisine, made with recipes handed down from the founder's mother. Ingredients are fresh and well spiced, dishes are delicious and presented in a visually appealing manner. The menu offers a good range. Portions are sized for sharing and communal dining. Prices are reflective of other restaurants, budget about SGD $40 per person for a meal here.
Khao Hom Thai Restaurant has a wide range of authentic Thai food prepared and served by friendly Thais; prices are very reasonable.
