Today, trying out their vegetarian Bao offereings!
"妈宝素食馆 Mable Vege Restaurant" is available in Grab Foob, Food Panda, or Customer Drive-by Order; I believe prices are all the same.
May not look that appetizing but the taste and combinations were not too bad at all.
The foreigners serving the food are polite and helpful, a place of good ambience for vegetarian, parking is easy in the morning on Sundays.
The rm$13 "擂茶飯(糙米) Lei Cha (Brown Rice)" was fairly large portion, displayed as YMT's signature dish.
Their Bitter Gourd Tofu Rice Set was priced at RM 12.90 . This set came with a bowl of Brown Rice, some Clear Soup and Bitter Gourd with Tofu. Generally, the flavours were quite light here and it was evident that they had not used any MSG in their cooking. The soup was good and so was their Bitter Gourd. My rating for this preparation shall be 8/10.
I think compared to real fish head noodle, everything is the same except for the 素魚片 vegetarian fish slices and the soup.
I'd say the vegetarian item sampled today "照烧豆腐荞麦面 Grilled Terriyaki Tofu Soba" was acceptable in taste and presentation, the bowl comes with Soba with terriyaki tofu and an onsen egg plus flavored/seasoned cauliflower, pumpkin and carrots and I believe seaweed as well. Generally, a likable dish!
La Juiceria's menu is quite extensive, with vegetarian, meat, locals like nasi lemak, even cakes, coffee and of course their healthy drinks; also all-day breakfast as the restaurant opens early at 9am.
The food here so far, good presentation and tasty vegetarian offerings.
This is one organic vegetarian restaurant well worth multiple visits.
Le Food at SS18 is still not offering the full menu, you would have to pick from the list currently offered.
The restaurant only opens for lunch until 3pm and then dinner until 11pm. I do think that it still opens from 3-6pm but serves snacks menu like the one I am having.
The rm$14.90 "香辣糙米椰漿飯 Signature Nasi Lemak" looks and taste much more appetizing and quite different from the previous Vegetarian Nasi Lemak offering last year.
Today's nasi lemak is at rm$14.90; cashew nuts on top of the rice, acar, cucumber, and vegetarian sambal seems the same as before. Difference is different type of crackers (much better), boiled egg, potato, and curry cauliflower; good combinations!
As usual, BMS offers a small free cup of Ginger Tea! The whole thing may not be filling my empty stomach after gym, but it is a nice and healthy one, I hope.
This restaurant is spacious, clean, tidy, and brightly lighted.
overall there wasn't much taste in it except that "fried bean curd w/seaweed" (salted fish). At dinner time on a Saturday night, the vegetarian restaurant was empty with any customers! Maybe, fried rice isn't their specialty!
New Vegetarian restaurant in SS19, serves reasonably good taste vegetarian dishes.
Sampled the Vegetarian Nasi Lemak on 13th Feb this year, definitely like it.
Besides the main chinese mixed rice, a chinese noodle kiosk, and two malay vegetarian stall, looks like the latest addition is an indian vegetarian "goreng-goreng" kiosk; looking forward for sampling it soon!
Fried beancurd is the "simulated pork", also in the bowl are 豆腐卜tao fu pok, chinese cabbage, plus 3 types of mushrooms which are 山毛榉蘑菇 beech mushroom, 香菇 shiitake mushroom slices, 鲍鱼菇 abalone mushrooms! Too bad not 油炸鬼 Char Koay available.
I'd say the 素糕点 Vegetarian Kueh although quite expensive at rm$1.70 are worth trying!
Overall meal is OK but for those prices, expectation is slight higher, in my opinion!
The choice of vegetables were rather basic and taste wise, it was nothing to shout about. I felt that they could have been better. Even the fried stuff wasn't as crisp as it should have been. As far as the veggies were concerned, it was a let down and my rating for this shall be 6/10.
I tried their Chicken and Mutton Kulambu. Firstly, their Chicken Kulambu was awesome. It was so thick and rich in spices. It has been so long that I had tasted some good curries like these. The flavours were so perfect and I wished that I had a bigger appetite. Mutton Kulambu is another rare gravy these days and I was surprised to find it here. Again, another one that was simply out of this world. Reminded me of the Mutton Kulambu that my late grandmother used to make. 10/10 would be my rating for both these curries.
It is a good change to fainally decided having a meal without meat!
I ordered vegetarian dry pan mee, which is not bad, a tad little salty for my taste. The free snow fungus red dates soup was ok!
