Macaroni with Creamy smoked shredded chicken, topped with torched cheese. Never expected to enjoy the taste of cheese pasta so much! Inside my mouth, it's incredibly thick but soft! I had been missing macaroni, so when I saw the mac & cheese pasta, I decided to order it!

The Place One of the up-and-coming restaurants in Kuala Lumpur to watch out for, I checked out Eat And Cook KL recently which is also #79 on Asia’s 100 Best Restaurants 2023.
There are only 2 types of course menu to choose from. The 5-Course Journey menu is priced at Rm 260++ per pax, comes with 5 dishes of different sensations and it takes about 90 mins for the whole journey. The 8-Course Journey menu is priced at Rm 380++, you will be able to enjoy the full journey with 8 dishes, including amuse bouche and petit fours. This journey takes times about 120mins.
Reasons to visit Eat and Cook in Bukit Jalil: All dishes have their hero ingredients. On our journey, we particularly enjoyed the reimagining of assam laksa, sambal belacan, ikan bakar and kulim. All wines were standouts, but if after something particular, we recommend asking Agnel for his suggestions.
Prices can be on the high side for some items, but then again, this isn’t some fast food joint as you have a bona fide chef churning out the dishes personally.

Afloat Coffee Roaster is a recent favourite café visit due to the friendly baristas, good coffee, and a lovely space overlooking the park.
The food and dessert here are pretty good. It is a bar with live music on weekends, so it can get a bit noisy. I think this place is related to Brew & Bread.

Overall, we do like this place with nice ambiance and delicious dessert. I am not sure if their other main course is good or not but I am very sure their dessert will not disappoint me. I will definitely revisit again for more dessert! In addition, I will not stop exploring more food place at Sri Petaling. Highly recommended - Signature Meatball Platter (RM32.90) 👍👍💥 Meat Balls are made of lamb, beef, chicken, and pork. Mandarin oranges and green apple slices were served alongside. My senses are definitely tickled. With the signature homemade Chef's special sauce and cabbage braised in red wine, the meatball extravaganza left everyone like it so much! Aromatic herbs and natural spices are expertly mixed into this cuisine.

Our favourite goes to their HamHamSapBelly RM30, also a must-try here. Fork-tender, juicy pork belly with a good proportion of fat and meat, topped over a hearty bowl of rice along with poached egg, edamame, crispy lard and tongarashi.
His big plate of pork rib (排骨). After all, he commented, he prefered another restaurant on the same road at the other end, Down to Bones.
Salted caramel chocolate pie. My friend warned me that it is very sweet but I didn't find it so because I only eat a quarter of it and share the rest with my other friends. Surprisingly, I find that this combination works. It tastes good.
The potato is a must-try. They only make 100 pieces per day so act fast if you want to give it a try. Every dish is extremely good. =D
Verdict: This is a good place to go for cheap and good western food.
Thomas Western not only offers good and reasonably priced food but also an option for an al-fresco dining experience in the most naturalistic environment under the shades of trees that birds nest upon (so pray no one honks while passing by or you might find added ingredients in your food) and the intermittent smell from the wet market just beside it.
The Brownies with Ice-cream here at Klésis Café Grocer is dark and moist, with chunks of gooey chocolate. The cafe is also a local grocer.

Nonetheless, it’s also catered for casual social purposes of course – like just to chill and hang our after work in the neighbourhood without needing to sardine with other people in the city.
The name itself – The Forking Cork is indeed cheeky and considered one of a hidden gem in OUG. The Forcking Cock is a wine and whisky bar where their original objective is to be a place for business meet up. Besides that, it is also perfect for some of you that love to hang out some where nearby and need not drive all the way to KL to enjoy your alcohol intake.
Yam Mochi is the best-selling mini cake at Mikaa Cafe. When I bite into this mini cake with a sweet purple yam and creamy vanilla-like flavor, I'm blown away! I discovered that the mochi within this little cake is soft! The mochi, as you would know, is a traditional Japanese rice cake with a sticky consistency.
Signature Grilled Chicken (RM18.90) 👍👍👍 The grilled chicken is served with mint-based sauce and salad. It gets a lot of salad with broccoli, with the long thin strips of carrots so very healthy!
We like this little cafe with very friendly staff, maybe they get this from the young lady boss. No extra service charge and government tax in the bill. Even though, we lean towards Butter+Beans coffee a bit more, but we will return again when we crave for light bites and coffee at the same cafe... Until Butter+Beans serve savory bites one day, maybe.
A cozy and comfy cafe in the middle of the mature and quieter OUG residential neigbourhood, serving good coffee. Even aliens can't resist! :)
