Can't recall the name of this dish, but it's shakshuka. I would recommend this dish to anyone who loves a hearty breakfast. With the warm and toasty eggs and savoury tomato sauce and other ingredients cooked into what seemed like a thick broth, this dish is sure to fill your tummy despite its deceivingly small portion. Use the bread to soak up the awesome eggs and tomato concoction so you don't leave any behind.
Overall, i find the food and drinks and yummy, kind of wish the portion is tad bigger though
[Pork-free] Run by the same folks behind Serai Group, Blonde in Republik offers something different from their usual Asian fare.
The place is so so classy.
Reasons to visit Blonde at The Republik: chic setting with friendly staff; contemporary international cuisine that is presented beautifully; must try the Dutch-style pancakes to break from the norm, poached eggs with beef brisket, pumpkin and watermelon salads, lamb belly, duck and do save room for the deconstructed pavlova.
Banyak pasta dan spaghetti dia pun sedap sedap belaka. Ada Creme Brulee siap. Harga pun mur mur.
The sandwich was rather food and completely fulfilled the above criteria for pork!
I was hoping that we’d come back and try their waffles and all the different sandwiches, but in the middle of eating our English pie, I already knew that we would never be returning to any Gravy Baby location. Although the menu presents sinfully gluttonous food, the actual taste is very generic and the prices are high for how much food you get. Put Gravy Baby in the same category as chain restaurants like the Hard Rock Cafe – overpriced, unmemorable western food that’s there for rich foreigners to save them from having to eat “icky” local cuisine.
Grilled Lamb Rack was an idea from Gabriel Thang where you get New Zealand grass-fed lamb rack chops crusted with herbs, served with mushroom sauce, homemade yogurt mint sauce, white truffle potato mash and sautéed vegetables (RM59). Loved the mash as it was creamy and rich. The lamb was nicely still pink, moist and tender, with the yogurt mint sauce giving a different spin to the usual mint sauce.
I must confess that their Lemonade was awesome. Seriously good flavours and it was served with a decent amount of ice cubes. A must try when you're here. I would rate this drink at 10/10.
