I’m always grateful to find restaurants at Mid Valley Megamall that serves food that actually excites me. Antipodean’s extensive menu has tons of things that I would be happy to eat. As long as it exists here at the mall, I will absolutely be back at Antipodean Cafe to try more of their food.
The size of the lamb patty is disappointingly small compared to the bun, but it is very flavourful. Our choice of medium doneness resulted in an incredibly juicy patty that was dripping before we even took a bite. For a cafe, this is a great tasting burger.
Big Breakfast with Bacon at MYR 26++ (MYR 30.16 nett). The scrambled eggs are very creamy so both of us cannot finish them and I had to keep them for another day.
Abundance of mushroom in above dish, yumm
We also ordered a snack of boneless chicken pieces with Honey BBQ marinate at MYR 20.95++ (MYR 24.30 nett). I like the taste of the 4 raw celery sticks that are served with the chicken. They are very crunchy too.
My favourite salad is in Chilli’s – Santa Fe Chicken salad (RM32.60). Once i awhile, i like to order this, a side of fries, and bottomless ice lemon tea, and of course sharing it with someone, the salad portion is huge… So good… Grilled chile-rubbed chicken breast, house-made pico de gallo, fresh diced avocado, cilantro, crispy tortilla strips with house-made Ranch dressing & a drizzle of spicy Santa Fe sauce.
A slice of Banoffee cake. Sweet but nice when each person eats a bit of the cake only. There is a layer of bananas which make the cake tastier.
Fish and Chips - there are two pieces of fish so I kept one and most of the fries for another meal. The fish is not dory but I did not ask what fish it is. The meat is a bit salty, white and flaky. My friend likes it.
Traditional Carbonara – RM35 I am a fan of Carbonara. Hence this serving was all for me. This al-dente spaghetti was cooked with cream sauce, then topped with crispy chicken bits, Parmesan cheese and a poached egg.
My conclusion: Jamaica Blue offers decent food at a competitive price. Their coffee is simply one of the best especially their signature blend coffee and the price point is definitely cheaper than those mainstream brand like 'S' and 'TCB'. Other than Mid Valley, they have four more branches in Klang Valley, one in Seremban, one in Johor Bahru and one in Kuching, Sarawak.
This hot drink is a hot chocolate as it is using white chocolate case and adding a hit of blue curacao syrup to give it a vibrant colour. So that's why it is blue Latte. Once I taste it, it is so sweet. In my opinion, it is very suitable for those people who love sweet and it will make you smile and happy always. What is the best feeling is to enjoy the best coffee with a good companion or your loved one.
Chai Latte (M) was superb. I was trying it for the very first time and I would say that I loved it. Must try for Chai Latte lovers. It has rich chai taste and the right balance of both milk and chai. Yum!! Chai Latte (M) @ RM 15.20
Moving next, we had the Christmas-on-Fire Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs (RM32). The meatballs are made from turkey and then it is then fried till crispy perfection and topped together with the freid garlic and chily. The al-dente pasta paired with the boucy juicy meatballs were just good and whats more with the kick of spiciness that comes with it.
One of our favorite dishes from their festive menu is the Tom Ka Rice with Sun-Dried Beef Strip and Som Tam (RM36). The beef strips are first marinated, hung out to air-dry, then deep fried and is served with a tangy, spicy tomato jaew sauce. It's like beef jerky but meatier, slightly chewy and absolutely delicious. This also comes with a green papaya salad (som tam) and aromatic Thai-style galangal rice pilaf cooked in coconut milk.
Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings RM18 Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings , one of our favourite Thai street snacks. Thai chicken wings appear to be drier and smaller in size but it is amazingly good with the extra crispy, golden brown outer layer laced with umami-ness of fish sauce, and tender meat locked with juiciness.
Don’t miss out their Roasted Beef with the Condiments, Their Hawaiian Pineapple Pizza, Fruits Salad, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Prawn Bisque Soup, Mussel Provencal, Chicken Lagsana, Oven Baked Fish Piccata, Baked Baby Potatoes with Herbs, Traditional Roasted Turkey with Sage Stuffing Served with Giblet and Sauerkraut and the Cranberry Sauce, Roasted Lamb Leg Roll with the grilled Vegetables, Mint Sauce & Mustard Sauce, The Boulevard Signature Pasta, Vegetable Pies and more.
On 20th December 2019, Wild Rice Restaurant, located on level 9 will be offering its Christmas Buffet which is priced at RM98.00 Nett per person (free for children aged 7 and below) and RM69.00 Nett for Senior Citizen and children aged 8 to 12 years old).
Next, proceed to the Char Koay Teow stall to get your Char Koay Teow fix. The dish itself is slightly sweet with a hint of spiciness and comes with a generous amount of condiments
Asam Honey Chicken - MYR 6 nett per piece on average. It tastes like sweet and sour chicken so it is quite tasty.
Each RM 5.50 Crunchy Deals comes with a main meal accompanied by one drink. You can take your pick from not one but four choices of Combo Set offered such as their signature Fried Chicken, Classic Burger, Tender Wrap and Porridge.
Sweet Chilli Fish Burger I believe the fish is similar to the fish in McD Thai Fish Burger. The flaky white fish fillet is tasty and crispy on the outside. The sauce is sweet but hot and spicy until my friend cannot stand it but surprisingly I could.
I can confirm that there is one whole leaf lettuce. The sauce is spicy but not too spicy since I can stand it. Overall the taste reminds me of the coconut fritters in rojak so I guess it is because the coconut taste is strong in the sauce.
CNY is near when you see this seasonal product at McD! Like NuxV, I can't help myself and bought 2 sets to share with my friends. For those who don't eat beef, there is chicken prosperity burger available. So that we have more curly fries to share, I upsized the orders but changed the soft drinks to plain tea and coffee "kosong" because I am on a no sugary drinks mission.
The dory fish fillet is coated with Mamee Monster Noodles so it tastes like Mamee Monster Noodles. Fans of Mamee Monster should give this a try. I tried it out of curiosity and curiosity did kill the cat here.
What do We Like about Tzuka, The Gardens? -Simple foods and cozy ambience
There are 6 pieces of Lamb Cevapi hidden underneath the grilled vegetables of carrots, cucumbers and red capsicums. The portion of mashed potatoes is big so I kept most of them and 5 pieces of lamb cevapi for another day.
Sambal is like a local must have for Malaysians in their meals. The hot, spicy, fragrant chilli sauce adds flavour and taste including increasing our appetite during a meal. Riding on this, Kenny Rogers Roaster Malaysia launch their new Sambalicious Meal starting on 4 October 2016. Now Malaysians and all spicy sambal lovers can enjoy a plate of KRR chicken with flavours of sambal!
I ordered the multigrain lontong dish. It has half a hard boiled egg, long beans, cabbage, brinjal, carrot, tempeh, glass noodles and about 7 cubes of compressed rice made from multigrain rice so it is not as soft as the rice cubes in the lontong that I have eaten at Ole Melaka, DC Mall and AMAH, the Sphere. The curry is creamy, not that spicy so it is suitable for me but it is more on the sweet side (I prefer it to be less sweet). I kept half for dinner.
My bowl of organic black bean soup (with no black beans in it) with lots of ingredients - bean curd paste, carrots, mushrooms, vegetables with the noodle of my choice at MYR 16.90 nett. I selected brown rice mee suah and kept half of it for dinner as they serve quite a big portion of the noodles. The soup is very flavourful without any MSG because I do not feel thirsty at all after drinking all the soup.
Lately I have been eating at vegetarian specialty eateries because my co-workers wanted to eat there and I am ok to eat there once in a while. This time, instead of BMS Organics, we went to Simple Life because my friend felt like having their Organic Black Bean Soup that she had tried before.
