The San Cubano was not bad, with the thinly-sliced roast pork shoulder filling moist and flavourful, nicely paired with the ham, cheese, pickles, crusty toasted bread and sriracha mayo. Not a bad sandwich.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to feast on restaurant food that’s made extremely affordable in a casual, unpretentious environment!
Timbre+ really is a whole new ballpark in Singapore’s food scene. Not bad - those ribs were reasonably tender and easily slid off the bone.
We though well of the Morganfield’s Sumptuous Christmas Feast 2017 and will surely recommend the Crackling Pork/Crispy Golden Pork, Candide’s Bacon and Morgan’s Christmas Feast.
Morganfield Christmas menu has been a merry host to my taste buds and it should be one towards you too.
That's their bacon steak. Thick cut, salty an meaty with fat and smokiness.
We liked their capped loin of lamb enough to order them again even though we had a bad one at Suntec.
Had an unexpectedly decent teh with milk served in a beer mug. The hot tea had the right amount of condensed milk and creaminess that I thought was enjoyable.
Overall, we would say that although the food was not the most fantastic around, we still give props to Swee Lee for adopting such a refreshing concept to revitalise what used to be a plain old music instrument store.
Since Swee Lee Social Club is a music café, I thought the theme could have been stronger.
The food is decent here, considering the limited options in the “secret menu”; great for those who are just looking for a light bite to recharge.

The Savoury French Toast ($21) comes in a fluffy, buttery brioche with a thick, juicy bacon chop, house-cured salmon, banana slices, coconut ice cream and a generous douse of coffee maple syrup.
Ambience at Paddy Hills exudes a quiet but appealing charm. Calm and vibrant tones of wood, blue, red, black, grey, and green, blend and complement seamlessly, neither feeling gaudy or striking.
Paddy Hills was rather busy during the weekends. The place has some instagram-worthy items that attracts the young adults.
Smoky and charred burger without much extras, with a patty that had a good gristle and texture, and was cooked to a good medium. A slightly tart sauce held the burger together. Very nice, except a bit dry.
For Spanish paella, we are happy to trot down to UNA at One Rochester. Plus it's a fantastic spot to wind down with sangria in this lovely colonial bungalow with fairy lights.
Overall, UNA at One Rochester is consistent in its service and food, giving diners a pleasant dining experience.
The 264-seater is still one of my favourite restaurants to date and also a popular venue for weddings and parties. If you're looking for to celebrate a special occasion or a restaurant to host a corporate event, UNA might just be the place for you.
But if I’m in the Holland V vicinity next time, I’ll definitely go check out the physical shop itself.
Popular Old School Western Food shifted to Magaret Drive.
The moment I walked in, I already liked the vibes of the entire place.
Overall dining experience was fun, but felt food could be better.
The Salted Caramel Popcorn Cake (SGD $7) has a super soft, moist butter sponge cake layered with butter cream, coated with a sticky sweet salty glaze of salted caramel sauce.
Overall, dining experience here was enjoyable and relaxing. Would like to come back to try some of their savoury Waffle brunch items or Brekki in a Pan.
14 reviews of Breko Cafe "Just enjoying another wonderful time here... always so relaxing... We had a perfect coffee break (very good!) and I craved what I think it's the best dish for this hot Sunday: THAÏ BEEF SALAD!! soooooooooooo yummy Don and…
I thought that the pieces were tender with the right amount of fattiness, and made quite a satisfying bowl.
The sister outlet of Chikuwa Tei and Manzoku by Yoi Group, largely known for their value-for-money Chirashi Don. Chikuwatei Nishi at Holland Village spots a new izakaya-style concept, offering casual Japanese fare such as fried chicken, grilled steak, prawn skewers, truffle beef donburi, Kurobuta...
With credit given, their dishes are reasonably portioned and competitively priced.
The chicken was sous vide to retain the moisture and natural juices, added with some ginger and organic sea salt, and so didn’t taste as bland as some of the health-food stalls.
The truffles fries was good, it was worth the price. I can taste the truffles at every bites.
The durian waffles looked quite beautiful. The waffles part of this dish was good. We thought that the durian flavouring was too sweet. We would try a basic waffles should we visit Butter My Buns again.
Variety of food isn’t the most interesting and comprehensive, however, we think it does complement well with beer. And at such quiet environment, it is a fabulous choice to chillax with friends.
Miso Carbonara with Onsen Egg ($7.00) seems to be highly recommended from those reviews online and I am interested to try it if I happen to be there again.
