Overall the food at Hao You Teluk Kumbar Seafood is decent and not as good as it is hyped by Youtubers or things that I read on Google Review. Maybe our expectations are too high due to the high reviews by Youtubers and Google Reviewers.
Ta'at Cafe is one of the well-known classic Cafes serving great Malay dishes. This shop has been up and running for 60 years. The highlight here is the bawang Ayam (onion chicken), the curry fish, and curry prawns. These are the dishes that are not to be missed when ordering. Those that took the dishes here 10 years ago claim that the taste of the food remains its standard after a decade.
Ginger Steamed Lala was damn delicious, it has a rich flavour and super fresh. Seriously, loved it. Ginger Steamed Lala @ RM 15

mi is one of few Japanese restaurants in Penang that are directly operated by hotels.
Umi presents a family-friendly dining atmosphere with a charming touch of wood.
If you are here, there’s no reason not to try both Mee Kuah and Mee Goreng. I would suggest ordering a Mee Seafood (with kuah) @ RM20 and Mee Udang Goreng @ RM10. The one with gravy has a spicy kick while the goreng version tastes slightly sweet, they are equally delicious.
Hai Boey Seafood (海尾海鲜) at Teluk Kumbar is one of the more popular seafood restaurants in Penang.
