Very nice lunch.
Some of my closest friends decided to play tourists in KL Chinatown during the recent holidays and well… as to be expected or is it a surprise, almost all of them (we are all staying in Klang Valley – KL and Selangor) confessed to not being here in ages…
Chinatown’s Petaling Street is one of KL’s popular tourist destinations. This is the place for you to shop for anything from t-shirts, souvenirs, shoes, bags and perfumes. There are a great selection of Chinese food to eat here at Chinatown. So, be sure to visit Petaling Street with an empty stomach.
Branding themselves as “Japan’s Favourite Shopping Mall,” LaLaport Mall will be the place to get all of the Japanese essentials.
Even though only half the stores were open, we were able to spend an afternoon wandering around at LaLaport Mall. If they can attract more tenants and fill up all the empty space, this could be one of our favourite malls. Gourmet Street is an enjoyable place for a drink with lots of people-watching opportunities. However, the average person doesn’t need to come to LaLaport at this stage unless you’re curious or want to shop at Nojima or Nitori. There are just not enough shops, and the ones that exist are also at one of the other nearby malls in Bukit Bintang.

Unless you’re planning to get a drink or some food, you probably won’t spend much time at Ghost Lane, but it’s free, it’s fairly central, and it has a few nice things to look at. I will probably nip back every now and then to see the new art.
Hike Bukit Kiara from Mont Kiara side.

The KL Bird Park is located in the heart of the serene and scenic KL Lake Gardens barely 10 minutes’ drive from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur… It is home to more than 3,000 local and foreign birds of approximately 200 different species…

In terms of a lifestyle mall, Hartamas Shopping Centre is not bad. It’s just, visually, an ugly mall with no natural light or design elements. Whilst the retail tenants are mostly useful, even for non-residents, there’s not a single restaurant or shop here that stands out and is worth coming back for. All the stores that I’ve ever found interesting have all packed up and moved on. I’m certain that the endless stream of tenants vacating is a reflection of the mall itself struggling to turn a profit. Hartamas Shopping Centre has a good mix of practical stores, but the low number of visitors has many shops saying “here today, gone tomorrow.”
Aquaria KLCC is a must-visit destination for a mesmerizing adventure into the wonders of the underwater world.
In my opinion, Aquaria KLCC is too small to justify its expensive ticket price. Spending RM50 to RM70 per person is crazy for supposedly 2 hours of entertainment. Although, I saw a lot of families during our visit, so eating the cost for the sake of your kids is clearly just part of living in KL.
Bukit Gasing and Taman Rimba Kerinchi is basically the same forest, where prior one is in Petaling Jaya and later one in Kuala Lumpur. Sadly the car park is closed on public holiday, so we have to..
Gelak-gelak member dengar.
Suitable for city-bound hikers and nature lovers of all experiences and ages, Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi gets my vote as KL’s answer to New York’s Central Park.
The Kepong Metropolitan Park, located at the Northern end of Jinjang, is famous among locals for the kite flying activities that are practiced at this public facility on a daily basis. The ideal place for kite enthusiasts, there is a huge field that runs parallel to the main road in the park that is specifically for this purpose. Most barriers and trees have been removed to ensure a clearance of at least 100m for the kites to take off.
By the entrance there is a great play area with swings. Kites and small refreshments are sold by the car park. Early morning the options were drinks and keropok, but by the looks of it there will be a bit of a mini-bazaar later on in the afternoon. Near the entrance there is also a large circular area perfect for learner cyclists.
A great way to spend your time outdoors with your family. :)
At the end of the day, the most important thing is the kids loved this place and the time we spent as family. The Museum of Illusions Kuala Lumpur is also ideal for couples as well as friends. Time to check out The Museum of Illusions Kuala Lumpur at Ansa Hotel.
My kids loved the Vortex Tunnel and kept going in and out for more than 10 times, whereas their mother backed off after 3 steps – the tunnel made my head spin and I lost my balance! But I loved the kaleidoscope: the photo will make an excellent social media profile picture!
Ticket price: Adult RM35 (with MyKad), RM45 (non-MyKad); Child RM25 (with MyKad), RM35 (non-MyKad); Family RM90 (with MyKad), RM120 (non-MyKad).
To make it more interactive, there are fun quizzes that you can take. Try your hand at trading stocks, or managing the economy using interest rates. (Failed at both and caused the economies to crash. Welp.) There is also a section where you can spin blocks and compare how inflation has caused prices of goods to increase over the years.

The iconic KL Petronas Twin Towers is definitely a must visit site whenever you visit Kuala Lumpur and although we’ve been here countless times, but we had never actually gone up to visit the skybridge. It's something we’ve always wanted to do, so finally, here we are today and we’ll be bringing you guys up for a tour with us to the Sky Tower bridge and the Observation deck.
Petronas Twin Towers is an icon and distinctive landmark of Malaysia, also made the country more recognized on a world scale. Standing at the foot of the Towers and looking up, Petronas Twin Tower reach to a dizzying height of 452 metres above the skyline, the most spectacular architectural in Malaysia. Touted as the most of Malaysia's known touristic attraction, a must-see on any Malaysia sightseeing trip for visitor.
