There is an assortment of casual bites. Familiar choices such as pandan sangkaya, and cream cheese pie made appearances on the menu. At RM8.50, the pandan sangkaya had pieces of toasted Benggali bread accompanied by traditional Thai green custard.

One of the thing we enjoyed here is the all day breakfast menu. Bello breakfast (RM 18.40) is nicely executed with sweet cherry tomatoes, portebello mushrooms, a piece of wholemeal bread, brinjals and scrambled egg. A tad more seasoning on the scrambled egg would have made the entire dish more enjoyable.

Opening its doors in April 2016, Beangels Specialty Coffee is a chill hangout cafe in Tanjung Tokong, Penang. This neighbourhood cafe on the ground floor of Island Plaza with its black interior and touches of green is aided by two wide open doorways. The counter is well staffed and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner – the menu comprises of a variety of main meals, pastries, desserts and good coffee
