A good brunch menu & very good crafted coffee make Habitat Coffee @ King George’s Ave one of the best cafes to visit in the Lavender area.
They're super famous as I was put on their waiting list when I was there on a weekend afternoon. The place is cramped and small but their food was awesome! This is really a place for you to dine and go and not a place for you to chill and relax as it's noisy!
Review of brunch at Habitat Coffee cafe along Upper Thomson Road Singapore with pictures of menu, restaurant and food ....
Something that runs out fast is Pick A Date ($12), featuring warm sticky date pudding with cream butterscotch sauce. There is an unanimity of praise for this unassuming dessert among diners. While cream butterscotch sauce may sound sugary enough to make one’s teeth ache, strangely enough it is only moderately sweet. Trust me, this is definitely one of the best in town.
I highly recommend a visit to Habitat Coffee if you have not been there before. It’s definitely popular for a reason, with its great all-day brunch food & awesome homemade cakes. With so many cafes along that area, Habitat stands out as one of the better ones. Of course, it’s best to go at an off-peak hour to get an optimal experience. I’m positive I’ll go back soon to try more of their food and their cakes, especially since I frequent the Upper Thomson area quite a lot.
Habitat is a great brunch hang-out spot for the North-Easties, but expect it to be super crowded on weekends! It might not be so suitable for large group gatherings because the bistro is quite small, but for small groups, it would be more ideal. But then again, most of the brunch places/cafes nowadays are all like that! Guess it makes for a cosy experience.
