DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru Review
As mentioned above, the DoubleTree Hotel JB is in a great location for downtown attractions, shopping and transport. We could walk to Komtar in about 5 minutes and there are also some nice looking restaurants within moments if you want more choices for food.
For those of us who like spacious hotel rooms, you’ll be pleased to know that the guest rooms here are quite spacious, and this King Executive Room was no different. There was plenty of space for 2 large luggages to be laid out and still prance about.

Bilik agak besar. Facilities tip top. Bersih dan wangi. Bantal, tilam semua terbaik. Memang best !
The twin beds in multiple shots; thankfully, their width appeared to be alright for two persons and i can't deny i was enjoying my sleep that night.
On the right would be the Suasana Suites Cafe; those who stay in the hotel section would dine at the cafe for their daily breakfast. Given its height, it's granted you would get a good view of JB city skyline.
What is the difference between Standard Room and an Executive Room? Obvioulsy - it's concept, of course. Standard Room provide accomodation with or without additional "extra" while Executive Room or Business Suite definition caters for accommodation per specific requirements; for dining, working and relaxation.
Executive Suites ni ada banyak pilihan jika korang nak stay. Bagi Sis yang datang berdua dengan anak, Sis amik aje yang 1 bedroom, so dalam bilik menempatkan satu buah katil King. Tapi jika korang datang family, lebih dari 4 orang, korang boleh amik Executive Suites 2 bedroom atau 3 bedroom. Yang itu memang sangat luas dan puashati!!.
We had a pretty good stay at the Thistle Johor Bahru recently when we were over there….
Kami menginap di Thistle Johor Bahru! Dekat dengan Pantai Lido, Danga Bay, Training Center JDT and nak ke Senibong dalam 20 minit berkereta. ZZ Sup Tulang dalam 8 minit je. Let's check it out apa yang best kat Thistle ni. Oh, aku tak include breakfast kali ni.
Namun secara keseluruhan, I really enjoyed staying in Thistle Johor Bahru walaupun saya tak dapat feel 5 stars vibes itu. Entahlah! Seperti ada sesuatu yang missing disitu. Feel nya tidak seperti yang saya dapati sewaktu menginap di Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur, Alila Bangsar dan St. Regis KL sebelum ini.
As usual, KSL Mall is a must visit for the massages and earlier this year; I even booked a staycation at KSL Hotel and Resort!
So sampai KSL hotel, tanya juga masa di Lobby. Berapa harga semalam. Then katanya Rm150 semalam. Untuk Superior Room. Rasanya laaaa.. Cik mimi tak tau sangta jenis jenis bilik. Haha.. Then kami inform nak keluar esoknya pukul 6petang. Katanya tambahan Rm70. So total Rm220.
Our Superior Twin room is rather spacious and comes with a Queen size bed and a single bed. The interior is a bit dated but the cleanliness was overall satisfying.
Boleh dijadikan pilihan kalau berkunjung ke bandaraya ini.
Overall facilities di sini kira OK lah but due to covid ada limitation sikit here and there.
Where to stay in JB for a short getaway? How about Capri by Fraser Johor Bahru, a hotel that I highly recommend. Here are the pros and cons.
#3 Swimming Pool. Swimming pool yang mengadap Singapore sememangnya memberi satu kelainan kepada mek walaupun mengadap bangunan Singapore pada pinggir selat sahaja. Kolam renang ada dua, kanak-kanak dan juga dewasa. Pada masa mek ke sana tak crowded sangat and memang best lah menyelam di kolam renang Berjaya Waterfront Hotel Johor Bahru. Sambil anak mandi kolam, mek boleh ‘nap’ kat atas kerusi rehat.
Berjaya Waterfront Hotel Johor Bahru is located at Stulang Laut, JOHOR BAHRU . Beside the Zon, Duty free shopping mall. And Only few min.walking distance to The Zon ferry terminal ( JB- BATAM)
Masuk je ke dalam bilik, nampak suasana selesa dan kemas yang masih mengekalkan konsep hiasan klasik dengan hiasan warna cerah yang pastinya memberi keselesaan kepada pengunjung dengan keluasan 30 meter persegi.
Shadow Of Opulence, Comfortable But Run Down
Bilik kategori Standard menjadi penginapan saya dan NI ni memang cukup selesa bertemakan Local Love dengan hiasan lukisan dinding yang memaparkan hasil kesenian tempatan.
Overall, TROVE is a clean and value for money place for a short stay. It is great for business travellers too. Location isn't the best in my opinion but what's lacking is the service. It is a hotel with great potential and to be honest, I really wouldn't mind giving this place a second chance to get things up and running.
Oh... I am glad to note that TROVE is a smoke free hotel - one of my pet peeves is stale tobacco smell in the carpet, curtains and bed linen. No such issues at TROVE.
Overall, it was a very pleasant and blissful stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre and the King Bed Studio Suite is must book if you plan to stay in this hotel.
虽然Parris Hotel Johor Bahru稍微老旧， 但看在平价的住宿价格， 以其宽敞的房间且含早来说性价比还是挺高的。
Hotel ni 3 bintang kalo tak silap. Yang penting ada kolam. Dah ada anak ni hotel kena ada kolam. Baru complete. Kasik depa syok main air.
Tahap kepuasan aku duduk disini ialah 3/5. Peace

Z Hotel is a small hotel but it has a lot of comfortable rooms. Room is clean and specious with comfortable bed.
For guest rooms that are tiny, I am surprised that the gym was pretty spacious with quite a number of machines. Better than the one I had to make do with at Vien Dong Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
The master room is spacious with wood flooring. The bed frame offers a dreamy/ princess look. At one side, there is a wardrobe to store your clothes and luggage. Only one thing I don't like is lack of privacy there when my room is facing others' rooms which people at the opposite side could easily see you if you did not close your curtain. And I have few times forgotten to close it. LOL
Overall A centrally located, stylishly simple budget stay in the heart of buzzing Johor Bahru township. Positives Good location, proximity to conveniences, clean and quiet. Negatives I’d contest the website’s claim that parking is convenient, unless you roll up in the morning after the restaurants, bars and clubs have closed and their patrons have made their way home. MBJB/MBIP parking is 60 sen/hour, which can be paid via the JomParking or MBJB apps.
Overall, service, food and stay is not too bad as I have lived in far worse hotels before but it needs a face-lift and a renovation soon to make it better…
