Have you ever been to IDC or Ice Dreams Cafe in Damansara Kim, Selangor? They’re known for serving various Kapiti ice cream flavours as well as delicious han...
The Ice Latte was awesome here. It was thick, milky and ‘kaw’ and by ‘kaw’ I mean – strong. It hits you on all the right spots. Loved it.
This ice cream, dessert, coffee place is located a few shops away from SS20 Fish Head Noodle.
Since it was our first time here, we ordered the Sampler where we get to choose 6 ice-cream flavours. We chose affogato, triple chocolate, black doris plum, blood orange and cranberry sorbet, vanilla, as well as fig and honey. My personal favourites were definitely affogato and triple chocolate. Adrena said fig and honey tasted like it has gula Melaka in it. We also ordered crepe with vintage strawberry & cream and waffles with after dinner mint. You can choose your ice cream toppings to go with it but I personally would prefer ice-cream rather than sorbet.
Nectarine & Muscovado, Fig & Honey on a Waffle If it isn't obvious by now, Nectarine & Muscovado was the favorite flavor of the table and I cannot resist peach-flavored anything to begin with. The Fig & Honey combination turned out to be magical as well. The waffle had slightly crispy edges and was a little dense and spongy. Not my favorite waffle but the ice-cream makes it all better.
Their interior is rather simple and after staring it for a while, it gives me the impression of a green house concept. I was told by one of the staff that everything is made fresh from their kitchen which they have plenty of unique flavours and its a clever flavour combination that they have done up. Not only that, the naming onto each ice cream is very creative too.
Funnel Cake (Rm15) Homemade funnel cake drizzled with dark chocolate ganache, served with Kapiti Ice Cream. And i opted for Affogato Kapiti Ice Cream as the topping. As they have mentioned, lighter than doughnuts, crunchier than churros. It was really crunchy and it taste somehow like a mixture of doughnuts and churros. Light and crispy. Affogato ice cream tastes more like nescafe and it is still good to eat with the funnel cake. Yummy but FATTENING!
Meet the Klang Valley's next hot-weather hit: IDC is set to offer a range of 'affogatos' with a twist - instead of coffee, the ice cream is topped with a shot of something else.
