The homeliness of the cuisine was felt through the dish. Though the price may be considered pricey, their portion made justice to what we were paying for. It is hardly that we come across a good authentic Italian place like this. I don't mind looking into other items in the menu if I'm back here again.
The ribeye steak with red wine sauce turned out as well as the fish. Together with the cod, it was an enjoyable western food takeaway lunch. A change from the bentos and zi char food that we tend to gravitate towards.
The lasagne was good but nothing to rave about. The taste was authentic but we think it could have done better with more meat. We would definitely try the 1-for-1 La Nonna takeaway promotion again. It is a good deal if you are looking for unpretentious Italian fare at reasonable prices. Maybe next time round we would order the La Nonna pizza again but try another pasta.
La Nonna's vongole is lousy. Might be the reason why it's not on the regular menu.
Lunch at La Nonna Holland Village was a straightforward with just two dishes to take advantage of the lunch time deal. We hope to return to try out the other items on the menu.
