LI Restaurant @ Damansara Jaya – Awesome!House Rice Bowl, 17.90 ringgit
I must say, this is one eatery that provides you with plenty of gravy when you order a rice bowl. For some reason, lots of eateries like serving them rice bowls dry, with as little gravy as possible. Why, why, why?
This rice bowl came with boneless chicken thigh, poached egg, pickled cucumber and vegetables with plenty of sweet, ketchup-py gravy. It was yummy – simple yet delicious.

The pork in the rice was tender and tasty but it lacks of some sauce for the rice, making it too dry.
The pork rice is nice, but the green chili pasta not so much. Pork bread nice too.
Li Restaurant 力 @ Damansara Jaya, Petaling JayaTheir Housemade Sourdough Toast (RM 3) is one of the must try here. It had the expected mild sour taste but the texture was not too hard for mastication. When it paired with their housemade coconut spread, the chemistry worked perfectly and this simple local staple became an enjoyment. We also opted to have sea salt butter that added some briny taste. Though the entire add up become a staggering RM 7 for a piece of toast but it was meant for once a while experience.
Li @ Damansara JayaBraised Pork Belly (RM30)
The pork glaze was really robust yet elegant that didn't overcome the pork belly but meld together with the pork belly like how a harmonious orchestra with a single conductor directing it! The poached egg brought out the creamy texture to the potatoes that was baked with the pork belly fat and it was really moist yet hearty alongside with the egg that brought a creamy mouthfeel.. It was an amazing plate of protein that really reflects the ingenuity of the chef to meld both Malaysian and western influences to create such an amazing dish that brought delight to our hearts in every bite of that decandent pork belly dish!

LI, Damansara Jaya - Contemporary Malaysian RestaurantMy favorite dish here is undoubtedly the Braised Pork Belly (RM30). Everything, from the melt-in-your-mouth texture to the beautiful flavours, was perfect. Amazingly tender, it was complemeted well by the charred lettuce, soft egg, pork glaze, crispy potatoes and ulam leaves. Special mention has to be given to the potatoes - so so good! They've been double fried so that they're really crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. This dish comes with two pieces of potatoes, however if you're feeling greedy, you can always order another side portion of crispy potatoes for RM8. Major love for this dish!
