We also tried their Guinness Pork Ribs and it was excellent. 9/10 would be my rating for that dish.

This is their signature dish Fried Sweet Potato Flour Noodles (Chao Shu Fen) , 炒薯粉. It’s my very first time to even heard bout it. They do look like kuey teow but it’s more chewy. The “wok hei” that contained in this plate of dish is really really good! It’s a taste that has been slowly disappear in nowadays food. This is what i call a great plate of fried noodle. It’s not overly oily or salty. It combines well and the noodle is not tasteless too if you’re worried that it’s just a plain noodle.

My favourite dish for the evening - Steamed Grass Carp with chillied bean paste sauce. This one is slightly different from other places, the sauce has less bean paste, hence it is not so salty. In fact the sauce was just perfect for the very fresh fish that had been steam just nicely too (i.e. not under-cooked or over-cooked).

Since then they have been able to keep their dishes of great taste and quality . Some people may find out the prices slightly expensive , but this probably is not a big deal for foodlovers or their regulars . We love the place and always try to visit it at least once a month .

Verdict: Secluded location, shabby and worn out place, price is a bit steep but food is awesome. There are many interesting dishes like Oatmeal Popcorn Chicken, Fried Chicken Wing, Chao Bak Ko, Spring Rolls, Honey Pork and Marmite Pork.

Although this place gives you the homey kinda feeling, the service rendered was definitely NOT! The guy who came and presented the bill wasn’t too friendly and was rather cold when we asked for the details on the bill. Maybe we interrupted him reading his daily newspaper! Totally not cool! Will I come back? Nope! After all, the food was really mediocre. If I had not have such high expectations, this dining experience wouldn’t be such a letdown. Guess the good reviews about this place is seriously left to be desired!

We also had the stew pork, and it was really tender. They also provided a type of 'rice cake' to dipped with the sauce.
