Casual Hiker: Mt. IrauI arrived at Brinchang police station at 7:10am after about 2 hours of drive from Kampar. This was the gathering place where all of the hikers from our group met. After all have arrived, our pack leader proceeded to file a police report as a safety precaution. Everybody was eager and ready, so at 8am sharp, we departed to Mt. Brinchang by a rented 4WD. At first, few of us weren’t very clear about the arrangement made, and were caught by surprise to see only one 4WD… for twelve of us! Not wanting to make a big deal of it, all happily jumped up into the trunk and off we went.
