In the grilled form – the salmon was so tender and juicy! The karaage was good too as batter was crunchy and chicky was tender. The set came with rice, miso soup, salad, chawanmushi, pickled veggie, tuna and fruits.
7.5/10. Overall, a solid dinner. Can’t really go wrong with this place. A really cozy ambience with high quality food. (Honestly speaking, as far as restaurants go - as in not Omakase - this is definitely on the higher range in terms of quality of salmon sashimi).
Then came the Nippori’s Style Nachos Curry Cheese Duck. This dish is large enough for two to three people sharing and is available in two different variations. Either curry cheese duck or classic chicken. We ordered the duck option. The Nachos came at the same time as the Avocado Prawn Tempura Maki, which is a deep fried prawn tempura, wrapped in sushi rice, tamagoyaki and kyuri, each carefully topped with slices of fresh avocado.
Would I head here again? Hell yes ! I definitely will. Loveeeeeeeeee the food and ambiance and people and also where it is located.
GREEN SCRAMBLE WITH BAKED PORTOBELLO (MYR 19) Scrambled eggs folded with homemade pesto, baked Portobello mushroom and oregano toast. Fool-proof of simplicity at its best!
The serving portion is completely fulfilling and best for brunches. The spot and location ticks all the boxes: it’s spacious and bright with big windows even though without verdant views. Friendly staffs made dining experience real pleasant.
♥Verdict: Definitely a new culinary experience to me since this was my first time trying Macanese food. I can’t say I was bowled over by the food but for those who never try Macanese food, this place worth a try for some excitement to your taste bud.
Here, you would not go wrong with Minchi (RM22.00), their signature dish and also my favorite of the meal. The huge bowl of rice came with a mixture of savory minced pork (loads of it too), diced fried potatoes, onions, fried egg, rice, and pork lard. This was comfort food in all it's glory
Portugese Chicken (Po Kok Khai), 25 ringgit. This was delicious. The gravy was a perfect blend of turmeric and coconut milk – sounds similar to an Indian dish, ey? I guess these similarities are shared across the region, throughout Asia. Cool, isnt? There were eggs, chicken, tomatoes, olives, carrots, shredded coconut. Man, this was yummy. The gravy was thicks and tasty. The chicken was tender, moist and flavorsome. Eating the chicken + gravy + rice, ooo man, it was just the perfect dish for a mid day lunch.
Overall, the platter of meat was absolutely divine. Costing merely RM65, both the food and the option to refill were great. However, there's only two timeslot available for the buffet, 6pm-8pm and 8pm-10pm. You can come anytime in between, by you'll end by either 8pm or 10pm. Reservations are recommended, so do remember to book in advance.
||Ratings|| Taste: 7/10 (Pasta was good, but the soup would've been better if it was smoother) Price: 6/10 (It's the standard cafe/restaurant price but it's still considered pricey for an everyday meal) Service: 8/10 (Waiters there were pretty friendly :) ) Plating: 5/10 (My soup wasn't instagram-worthy) Would I revisit? Yes.
Empire Damansara might not have much to offer, but the restaurants & cafes in that area are definitely the reasons that why many keep going back to Empire Damansara.
这个角落非常适合拍照打卡啊! 不管是OOTD,或是喝咖啡、牵着脚踏车装逼都超好看的。
Verdict: A well worth checking out cafe in this area with extensive menu that can please your western or oriental palate.
So, my maiden trip to Maria’s Steakcafe proved worth the calories – a good place to bring the family or friends for celebration without busting the budget.
My Wagyu definitely hit the spot and cured my craving. Maria’s Steakcafe is well worth checking out for steak devotees, the wallet friendly price range also one of the attractive point too!
Qliq Damansara is located nearby The Curve Shopping Centre, Ikea, Centre Point and 1 Utama as well as other local attractions like Kidzania, Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) and Pusat Sains Negara (National Science Centre). This hotel’s strategic location also provides quick access to Kuala Lumpur and key suburbs via the SPRINT and LDP highways. The hotel features a modern and refreshing design with bold colours, flaunting slightly cheeky, quirky, non-conformist yet simplistic designs throughout the hotel that are meant to be appealing to the “next generation” of travellers.
We’ve tried a lot of fish head noodles in the Klang Valley – and we can say that Soon Soon serves one of the better ones, with a very distinctive orange-hue to make it memorable. The fish cakes here are excellent too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
We were happy with our steaks though I agree with my brother that we could do with a better sear on the steaks.
After retiring from the corporate world, Jensen decided to open Denhygge with the aim of introducing Danish food to local customers here. “Sandwiches, cold dishes and pork are commonly eaten. However, we serve some hot specialities as well,” said Jensen.
Possibly the first true blue Danish cafe in Klang Valley, DenHygge features classic Danish food, run by Danish native Niels and his Russian wife Olga. Hygge means cozy and comfortable – a feeling of contentment and well-being, and stepping in the cafe really feels like you’ve entered their home, replete with a warm crackling ‘fireplace’. Clean lines and minimalist-style Scandinavian looks you in the eye.
Overall, we thought both CKT plates were underwhelming. While it had enough wok hei, we found it a bit lacking in taste (no umami) and the cockles were a bit too small as well for a satisfying finish.
Thai Tea Geladough was yum. Every bite of this dough is insanely delicious when topped with Thai Milk Tea Ice-Cream; they are out of this world. I’m in heaven. Thai Tea Geladough @ RM 14
All desserts are handmade fresh every day, guaranteeing the best dessert!
自助式的概念,在柜台点好餐就可以坐在喜欢的位子上 我们坐在这样的一个小角落 喜欢这样干净有自然光线洒进来的感觉
Lauk options are super basic but absolutely mind-blowing: piping hot spring chicken that seem to disappear within minutes each time they’re brought to the serving tray and gulai kawah (sometimes in mutton ribs form, other times in daging tetel form). Sometimes there’s also a gigantic pot of soup brewing right beside the gigantic pot of bubbling gulai kawah.
The satays, yummmmm. It was meaty, juicy, coated with a thin layer of something sweet and when you dunk it into that peanut sauce …. ooooo man, delicious! This is why I keep coming back for more. That is all there is to say about it. If I am not mistaken, each stick cost 1 Ringgit and this time we went for 15 sticks between us, 5 each.
The Mala Shandong Squid will be the reason for our returning visit, as we are also intrigued by the ramen/udon.
