APW Bangsar is the ultimate hipster hangout with art galleries, trendy cafes, and stylish people
Currently KL’s hottest location for food and beverage, you can visit Art Printing Works (APW) at just about anytime during the day and find it filled with gourmands, Instagrammers lining up the perfect shot, and a whole bunch of those-in-the-know hunting down the most delicious dishes and drinks in the city
My personal favourite was the Tuaran Grilled Calamari (RM35.80), super flavorful stir fried Tuaran noodles topped with freshly grilled Sabah squid. Hearty, wholesome goodness!
Reasons to visit The Blockbunsters: A slightly quirky vibe with a good gin list at a reasonable price. Burgers of different shapes, sizes and flavours. Remember, being Knowhere is somewhere.
My favourite was the Priyanka Claw-pra, with delicious varuval crab patty on a bed of arugula and curry aioli.
The Legend @ RM 28 The Legend tasted okay. For us, it tastes a bit bland that we have to add our own seasonings in it.
The packaging of the place is nice and pleasing to the eyes. But when one goes deep into the core, there is nothing much to shout about.
Good place for breakfast again!
The Bouillabaisse, the iconic Marseilles seafood soup, is chockful of goodies, tiger prawns, mullet, and the soup, which is more bisque like than clear (unlike the usual Marseilles ones), is so good that left all of us wanting more. Now, the main surprise was the breads, because well, it's bread, and at this stage of the meal, no one wants more bread, BUT one per chance bite into that crusty piece of goodness, it didn't take long before all of it was gone.
Reasons to visit Chez Gaston, French Bistro Bangsar: Charcuterie goodies to share with friends, a beautiful twist on the Salad Nicoise, and meaty mains that come with sauces prepared by the hands of an expert. Of course, same room for dessert.
One of our most favorite salad with goat cheese. Tossed salad with vinaigrette and pork bacon bits. Served along with baked matured goat cheese on baguette stick topped with honey and black pepper.
Among all the places I’ve stayed at, I think this has got to be my favourite hotel room by far! I’d be happy to come home to a studio apartment like this, to be honest. 🙂 I liked how areas such as the bathroom and the ‘balcony’ (essentially a small living room/work space) were partitioned, but still very open so as to give a sense of added space. Everything was also neatly tucked away, like the fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the cupboard next to the TV. The warm, ambient lighting added to the overall cosiness.
Given its attractive price point, beautiful interior design and unique sky-high calm, Alila Bangsar is highly recommended as an accommodation choice while you are in Kuala Lumpur.
Unwind by the pool on Level 40, where tropical-style landscaping, luxurious loungers, and infusions of natural light and views create a resort-like oasis for relaxation.
The consistency of food as well as great service and good coffee is the reason why people keep coming back for more
Reasons to visit VCR Bangsar: great coffee; modern café menu; don’t miss the French Toast (love, love, love it!); we’re big fans of Pennsylvania’s Soul and the Superbowl too.
Fried Chicken Skin with a modern twist. Something new I tried in VCR that never fails to impress me.
Overall, the pizza are tasty, although the best pizza i had was in a hotel in chennai 🙂
Black Truffle Pizza was superb. Perfect crust pizza with warm, gooey goodness of melted cheese, mixed mushroom and black truffle paste. Yum!! Must try in Proof Pizza + Wine. Black Truffle Pizza (8 inch) @ RM 36.79
Verdict : Amazing pizza that just makes you fall in love more with their pizza marries well with amazing ambience and wines! Advisable to make reservations in advance
Head down to Table9 cafe with friends and family to experience this mouth-watering Korean-Italian cuisine.
Salted Caramel Cake was yum. Sweet from the chocolate and the salty taste from the salted caramel give it a perfect kick. Salted Caramel Cake @ RM 12.90
The absolutely scrumptious seafood spaghetti is enticing enough to make me come back just for it (in fact, my friend returned just for that). Of course, there are lots more to try and I hear the risottos and pizzas are good too. Charming cafe, unique dishes, reasonable prices, warm service...are some of the other reasons you may want to make a trip here. So, grab a table at Table 9 and feel right at home with some comfort food that's always fresh, always appetising! ^_~
Upon arriving, there was a short queue despite it being a weekday (I visited the cafe at 12pm on a Friday). So, definitely make a reservation before you drop by, for the best seat in the cafe, which IMO is definitely the courtyard.
this quaint hideaway café provides a cozy retreat while surrounded by the unique artwork and natural elements amidst soul-satisfying and wholesome food.
Verdict: Amazing ambience for leisurely brunch or lunch Great place to have a catch up Delicious desserts! Friendly & warm service

Best to dig in together is their premium dishes such as Alaskan King Crab, Canadian Red Lobster, XL Live Premium USA Oyster and XL Live Mud Crab
Dengan hiasan dalaman yang sedap mata memandang serta cukup selesa untuk anda sekeluarga, Ombak Kitchen gerenti anda akan pulang tersenyum lebar !
The beauty about Southern Rock Seafood is they can source and import the fish and seafood you want if they don’t have it in stock – all you have to do is ask. They also supply premium seafood to most 5-star hotels and reputable restaurants in town and throughout Malaysia.
Overall, Southern Rock Seafood is definitely a great place to enjoy fresh seafood especially their oysters. Worth mentioning here is the Fruits De Mer as well as the Legendary Mussel Laksa which is my own personal favorite.
Reasons to visit this seafood restaurant in Bangsar: Occasions looking for “Best on the Best” should go no further than the pairing of oysters with caviar and the promise of champagne. More modest occasions will celebrate the sustainability focus of wild-caught fish. Occasions looking for greater value will appreciate the bottomless bowls of laksa mussels with terrific bursts of lemongrass.
Verdict: Satisfying flavours and portion, we enjoyed immensely the food we had and would highly recommend this place if you’re at this area.
Food was good and acceptable. I will likely return to try other brunch and dessert options, especially the ice cream!
Verdict: The server there is really accommodating to our request and speedy service .. It's better to make a reservation if you want to be in a big group as the space of this eatery is not that large and it fills up rather quickly .. They have recently updated their menu with the inclusion of the dessert menu!
Roost is an easy choice with friendly waiters and our favourite seat always available. I don’t know if we can ever brace our wallets to eat here, but we’ve indulged in Happy Hour at Roost on multiple occasions. The drink prices are just right for us, and it’s such a chill place.
It can be a hard thing to find a slice of quiet, relaxed ambience, combined with quality, contemporary European cuisine near the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Even scarcer in the city are European dishes, whose ingredients are sourced locally as part of a farm-to-fork concept. This is exactly what Roost, nestled away amidst the bustle of Bangsar, offers. A neat, refined and remarkably fresh look into the goodness of local ingredients, elevated to pleasant heights by Danish head chef Albert Frantzen and his team.
The meaning behind the word "Roost" is a place where birds regularly settle or congregate to rest at night. Minimalist and rustic interior design which makes you feel at ease as you savour their modern European cuisine. To ensure that they only give their best to the patrons, Roost adopts a farm-to-fork initiative.
The food at Botanica & Co is expensive for the portion size, but both of our orders were delicious. The restaurant was packed, so our food came out slowly, but the service was still warm and vigilant. It didn’t take much effort to get someone’s attention, and I was impressed that they noticed our empty water glasses before I had to signal someone for a refill. The only thing stopping us from returning to Botanica & Co is that we don’t have any reason to be back in this area.
[Halal, vegan options] Bo+Co offers some great vegan and meat-free options.
Prawn & Kale Pesto Pasta, 39 ringgit. The Pesto Pasta was utterly delicious. I was half in love with it just by looking at it. There were 2 huge prawns – the large kind that you’d be able to cut into 5,6 small pieces each. Yup, those giant prawns. The pasta texture was thick with kale pesto dressing , yet oily from the olive oil perhaps? A good combination. There was almond bits for garnish, plenty of tomatoes, mushrooms and surprisingly couliflower. I havent come across many pastas served with couliflower but I liked, it was a good addition, added some crunch to an otherwise ‘soft and slimy’ dish. This cost me almost 40 ringgit but it was real good, so I guess it was worth it.
I could not make up my mind on what to eat and so just selected the salmon main dish. Pan fried crispy skin salmon with clam tomato stew with one potato croquette at MYR 45++ (MYR 52.20 nett). Tasty dish, flavourful and without MSG (because I did not get thirsty after eating this dish). Kept half of it as usual.
Food was good and acceptable.
Naj Big Breakfast, 35 ringgit. This was delicious. You would get a generous amount of scrambled egg (comes in 3 options: scrambled, fried or poached) + mushrooms + beef bacon + chicken sausage + spinach + baked tomato + potato + a slice of sourdough. All the items on the dish tasted awesome, loved every bit of it. It certainly was a hearty breakfast with this dish, I just wish it was not as pricey as it was though. I cant think of another eatery that cost me 35 ringgit for a big breakfast.
Lamb Slider If burger is too big for you, this juicy lamb patties sliders are sure to keep you just right. Another simple yet delicious dish.
Next, we had the Crispy Black Pepper Chicken Wrap and this was one of my favourite dish on that evening. It has crispy chicken strips, mixed salad, tomato, cucumber, black pepper & sliced cheese and comes with a side of fries and a small salad. The chicken strip was pretty generous and it was delicious.
Good eats, fresh beats, great company- are what you can expect when patroning The X whether for a pleasant dining, casual hangout or a special occasion celebrated with buddies alike. Set forth with a chic interior with warm lighting, this hideout is chill enough for epicurean to sit down and relax over a toothsome feast with booze available on the menu as well. After all, just a few tipples won’t harm right? (=
This is their hidden Steak sandwich @ RM 35 which is off from the menu. Do request from the waiter. Among all the sandwich, this is my liking among the all. A slight toast with butter fragrant on the top., with sourdough is soft in between and steak is done to perfection. Medium rare. – recommended
Head down to Urban Daybreak this weekend with friends and family to enjoy a wholesome meal together plus don't forget to take some memorable photos for your Instagram Ah.
Crispy White Bait RM23.00 with Mint Yougurt Dip, Salt & Pepper Highly recommended to start with Crispy White Bait – a crunchy addictive snack that is so good on its own, better with a pint of beer. Dip with cooling, refreshing Mint Yougurt!
