The mee tai mak was still bouncy, and was fully infused with flavour. The earthy and qq mushrooms, minced meat, chives, tau gay and fried egg added more layers of textures and flavours. There was apparently minced prawn and chai por in there too. Very interesting.
the thing that surprised me the most was this vegetarian bee hoon shop called Meow Xiang at stall 58.
This is one of the few stalls serving the soup-style Bak Chor Mee at 85 Feng Shan Food Centre. There are other popular stalls in the same fo...
Jie Wei still serves his great grandfather's original "father of Singapore bak chor mee" version.
This is a simplified version of Bak Chor Mee with just a portion of thin egg noodles with minced pok and meatballs served in the lightly flavored pork broth. It is just no-frills comfort food.
The authenticity of traditional Teochew Cuisine in the heartlands is something I'm looking forward to. There are still quite a number of dishes that I would like to try like their Oysters Omelette as well as their Steamed Pomfret. To be honest, I will like to be back there again soon.
Traditional Teochew cuisine done with finesse, served at reasonable prices with friendly service and in a pleasant environment.
On the whole, the meal at Chin Lee Restaurant was enjoyable. We would agree that it is one of the best Teochew restaurant in the Eastern part of Singapore.
There is no lack of good hawker stalls in Blk 216 such as Chris Kway Chap and Sin Ho, and Prawn & Mee is worth trying if you are craving for prawn noodles.
While I wouldn’t say it’s the best prawn noodles I’ve had, I would say its worth a try.
The noodles at Prawn & Mee might come across as ordinary and basic, but give this store a chance and you’ll be in for a huge surprise.
Pasar 216 Bedok Central hawker centre is off the tourist belt in a mature public housing area but it has many excellent food stalls - more than many famous, higher media profile hawker centres.
Han Kee Fish Soup is not the first stall to offer such a combination, and I’m more than glad that there is such a combination because white rice with braised sauce and sides will never go wrong.
Chris Kway Chap, one of the popular Stalls to fix your craving.
I am with Chris Kway Chap's many fans - this kway chap is nice.
There are quite a few well-rated Kway Chap stalls around the island, and in Bedok, Chris is definitely the one I would recommend to try.

From the charming kopitiam-like ambience to the mouthwatering dishes that pack a spicy punch, it's a culinary trip well worth taking. With affordable prices and a menu that caters to various tastes, we are looking forward to returning for more delightful Thai flavours.
Hay, have you been to Hay, Gelato yet? A whole bunch of ice-cream cafes opened up in the last few months including Hay, Gelato which is located in Bedok. For too long, I’ve felt that there are not …
Hay Gelato is a nice addition to the Bedok neighbourhood and it definitely complements Percolate cafe as well.
The hard work and passion that the lady boss puts into her food can really be tasted in the hearty bowls of lor mee.
Food at Nangfa Thai Kitchen is predominantly Thai cuisine, featuring some of the most beloved Thai dishes. Expect bold flavours and consistently well executed dishes.
Ambience at Nangfa Thai Kitchen is casual and relaxed.
The food is really good here, capturing the essence of Sichuan food, attested by the China customers surrounding us.
Crispy Prata that is different from the others.
The pieces of prata was impressive to be as they were very crispy like biscuit at its edge, yet maintaining the fluffy portion in the middle. The curry was nicely prepared.
Fans of putu piring will have heard of Haig Road Putu Piring. Around for over 80 years, the hawker stall has opened their first mall outlet at East Village, a short walk away from Simpang Bedok.
East Village is one of the new shopping mall in Singapore opened its door to the shoppers in June, 2014. Located at upper Changi road, the mall provides everything to the shoppers from fashion to

If you are looking to satisfy your dim sum cravings or simply happen to be in the area, do drop by Tang Tea House and give them a try!
It wouldn’t be my top choice if I’m dining at Bedok, but I will come by willingly if everywhere else is crowded.
Given its vibes and food quality, Power Coffeehouse is certainly an interesting addition to this vibrant neighbourhood
Hon Ni Kitchen also offers a variety of side dishes such as stir fried long bean, fried bean curd, eggs and more. All of these are equally delicious and go wonderfully with the nasi lemak.
Hon Ni Kitchen is not a big fame, high media profile stall but their nasi lemak ticks all the right boxes for an excellent rendition of the dish. Prices are very wallet friendly too.
Chai Chee Pork Porridge 菜市猪肉粥, a specialty hawker stall tucked away within the bustling Bedok 85 Feng Shan Hawker Centre. If you're a fan of Hainanese porridge, then this is a spot you definitely don't want to miss!
Since its opening in 2002 as a humble 25-seater coffee shop at Defu Lane, Seafood Paradise has grown from strength to strength, gaining a loyal following amongst aficionados for its repertoire of lip-smacking,
The plate of Fried Black Carrot Cake is pretty decent with sweet-tasting black sauce and natural egg sweetness. The carrot cake is run of the mill type but good enough for a simple breakfast if you want to fill a portion of your stomach.
Very cheap carrot cake with prices starting at $2. Both the white and the black carrot cake were very crispy. The white had a good rice fragrance, while the black was really sweet and charred (at areas to a crisp), and tasted like the old school carrot cake I had when I was young, at the old Commonwealth Crescent Market.
