Overall, the food at Kazuma is tasty and the food pricing is reasonable compare to other premium Japanese restaurants. The fresh sashimi is definitely a must try as well as the Unagi Yanagawa. For sake lovers, you must check out their selection of sake too!
So recently I was over at Kazuma, the traditional Japanese Restaurant, located at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur and got to try out some of the freshest and most delicious Japanese dishes in Kuala Lumpur… and guess what? It did not break the bank!!!
Oden is one of those rare but delicious specialities few Japanese restaurants serve in the Klang Valley. Hence I was stoked when I discovered Oden Moriawase (RM22) is now available at Kazuma Japanese restaurant.
The food here are really good. The sashimi here are very fresh and tasty while the other Japanese food we ordered is up to our expectation. Using the finest and freshest ingredients air flown from Japan and prepared with respect to tradition, Kazuma aims to deliver authentic Japanese cuisine for all.
Highly recommended is Saba Ichiya Boshi (RM20 – half, RM34 – whole) – the housemade seasoned and dried mackerel which is grilled until the skin is blistered and crisp. A dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice atop the fish is all that's needed to savour the fish’s sweet flesh. Oishii!
The revisit to Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum is rewarding. The quality of the food and the ambiance of the place remains the same after so many years. For the pricing of their dim sum, it is similar to some Chinese banquet restaurant price and on par or cheaper than some dim sum restaurants in other hotels in KL. In short, visiting Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum will not disappoint you.
Chef Wong takes on a bold approach with the Steamed Soon Hock with Nyonya Sauce (RM30 per 100gm). The fish is smothered in a piquant and spicy Nyonya sauce that is redolent of spices and herbs. Although the sauce is robust and heavy in flavours, one can still taste the sweetness of the firm and tender flesh of the Soon Hock fish. The dish beckons for a bowl of steamed rice as the sauce is moreish and addictive.

While standard classic Kambing Panggang with Sos Dadih Pudina and Sos Lada Hitam remains the highlight of the Iftar spread, there are plenty of other dishes that are equally tempting to whet the appetite for the evening.
Fruity Yee Sang (small): pistachio, pomelo, chia seed, wax apple (jambu air), dried cranberry, white dragon fruit, dried blueberry, jackfruit, grape, deep fried dough, mandarin orange, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, snow pear, apple, peanut, and carrot. Tasty and refreshing! MYR 108 nett
