Understanding the need to stay relevant in the competitive KL hotel industry, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel recently unveiled it first batch of completely restyled West Wing Deluxe guest rooms. Whether you're here for a weekend getaway, family staycation or for business, this 5-star luxury hotel located in the heart of the Golden Triangle is sure to impress. The restyled rooms feature a modern, contemporary design, with sizes ranging from 40 sqm. To our delight, we were allocated a corner room, which is much larger than the regular Deluxe rooms. We immediately fell in love with the sleek interior in the well-appointed room. Taking on a neutral colour palette, the ergonomically designed room is fitted with reengineered wood flooring, and a day bed (which converts into an extra bed). Not forgetting the king-sized bed which comes with Marriott's Plush Bedding with topper and rich linen - contributing to a really good night's sleep. Room rates for the New Deluxe rooms in the West Wing starts from RM357 per night. Check in time 3pm, check out time 12 noon.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Simply adore the new room fresh and comtemporary design - sophisticated, tasteful and sleek, which truly reflect the key personalities of a Renaissance Discoverer who celebrates all things that contribute to living a life less ordinary.
Verdict: 1. Overall, my short stay here has been a great satisfying journey of discovering the essence of luxury in Renaissance. 2. The new, contemporary designed room is so spacious and well-equipped with high technology amenities; Ideal for savvy urban travellers. 3. From the warm hospitality services to the strategic location, every aspect is well taken care of. And I don't see any reason to say No to my next visit here!
Steamed sea grouper with cabbage in premium soy sauce Another must try here is of course the steamed sea grouper. The sea grouper fish is well steamed and served with the cabbage with chef’s signature premium soy sauce. A nice dish to enjoy especially the flaky texture of the fish and fragrant blend of soy.

Beef Stroganoff (MYR 35) This Russian inspired plate comes with decent mushroom cream sauce that is just nice to give you the flavour without overcloying, to be paired with the sliced beef, which I feel will be nicer if the meat were much tender- that would be perfect.
Lamb kebab (RM56) - well-spiced, tender chunks of lamb meat served with bread and chips. One of our favourite dishes here.
And one must have included Chef Azrul’s homemade gulai kawah kambing, grilled whole lamb and more. The grilled whole lamb is one of our favorites this year where the lamb is perfectly grilled with the tender juicy meat without any gammy taste at all.

One dish not to be missed is the signature Asian-style Red Chili Mud Crab accompanied with fried mantou, which is disputably one of Singapore’s popular dishes and is essentially crabs stir-fried in garlic, ginger, shallots, tomato paste and sweet chili sauce.
