Reasons to visit Isabel Restaurant and Bar: a truly beautiful restaurant celebrating both the flavours and design inherent to South-East Asian culture; if you’re a rum-lover both the Old Malaya and Borneo Dreams cocktails are excellent choices; from the food menu you must try the Laotian Style Chicken Larb, Tambun Pomelo Salad, Vietnamese Grilled Eggplant, Crab Curry and do check out their homemade ice creams for a sweet conclusion.

Grill chicken @ RM 45 is well marinated with chef special sauce. Add on lime and dip with the sauce given, you would just want this plate by yourself. “Nando’s atas version.”
Verdict: Having a meal here certainly doesn’t come cheap. The small portion food didn’t really filled us up and we went for “second dinner” at the cafe right beside it >_< Attentive service provided by those good looking staffs definitely a plus point 😛 Also be informed that the open car park near Isabel charges RM15 per entry which is really exorbitant. You may park at roadside too but not sure about the charges though. =.=”
Next, Hor Mok (RM25). Highly recommended! It is Thai style savoury curry custard akin to our local otak-otak, made from prawn, barramundi, betel leave, santan and curry. Very flavourful with meaty textures from seafood, subtle hints of spices and very mild spiciness. Great with a bowl of rice.
Kaeng Khiao Wan Gai, 28 ringgit. Another awesome dish. Kaeng Khiao Wan Gai basically consisted of a plate of fragrant white rice + green curry and chicken + mango and bean sprout salad. The green curry delicious and when you have it with the whole works – rice, chicken and salad, it totally gave me that rich creamy flavor with loads of flavor and crunchyness. Loved it!
