Seafood Bisque is interesting as to me it taste a bit like modern laksa base that is pack with different types of ingredient.
We ended our meal with the lovely desserts which is the heavenly combination of both black sesame and green tea. The Sesame panna cotta served with green tea ice cream is a perfect combination and absolutely delicious.
One of my favourite spots for dinner is located in the famous Jalan Alor night market street which is home to many local and international cuisine and street snacks. I visit Jalan Alor almost every…
The key dinner dish worth mentioning was the 干香沙鱼 Kam Heong Shark meat, spicy and interesting but meat seems similar to Stingray (I think)!
First to arrive was the Lala soup (RM18).. the portion was pretty reasonable and we enjoyed the fresh clams as well as the lightly spiced soup with hints of ginger and chilli.
I plan to head back to Opium for more of a nightlife, cocktail drinking experience. It’s a fun venue, and while the food didn’t particularly inspire, I’d be happy to redo the snack list as I sipped on some interesting concoctions.
Opium Wanton Noodles – This is easily my favorite noodle as for a PORK FREE restaurant as they manage to cook this wanton noodles without pork lard or pork oil at all.

Grill chicken @ RM 45 is well marinated with chef special sauce. Add on lime and dip with the sauce given, you would just want this plate by yourself. “Nando’s atas version.”
The new flavour of Golden Zest Mooncake features classic delicacy of lotus paste mooncake with single yolk, infused with the sweetness of honey and a distinct tinge of lemon zest. They wanted something that would appeal to the younger generation, but would also be acceptable to the older generation. The honey is a great addition for the natural sweetness while the lemony flavour blends in a hint of sourness for better taste. Grand Harbour Mooncakes are available from now till 24 September 2018 at all of their two Grand Harbour restaurants respectively at:
Wok Fried Giant Grouper in Hong Kong Fishing Village Style Also fondly known as "Long Dun", each bites of the fish meat is bouncily lovely and addictively fried with assorted spiced toppings including the crispy and fragrantly chopped garlic. Honestly, i don't mind munching on the crunchy bites with just a bowl of white rice as they are already aromatically taste by themselves- brilliant!
Dim sum places are abundant in our country. But posh modern dim sum dining place are some elusive gems! The Nasi Lemak was delicious. I can see why many people love it. The ‘sambal udang’ was da bomb. It was spicy and sweet and when having it with the rice, gooey egg, fried chicken and some ‘kacang’ ….. delicioussss! Yum!
For breakfast, one of the most popular items here is the Morning Set (RM7.90) which comes with roti bakar (aka kaya toast) and two half boiled kampung eggs as well as a choice of hot coffee or tea. Both our kids wanted this so the parents got the drink that came with the set. The eggs very perfectly cooked and they were generous with the butter and kaya in the toast, so a big thumbs up from us!
We tried with the Canadian Lobster Rolls with Truffle Oil with the which is sinfully addictive. The Lobster Roll comes amazingly good and delicious where they are served with chunks of lobster meat with the added truffle oil which makes it even better. Sandwiched with the crispy bread and sides with the crunchy potato fries. While enjoying your sandwich, you can dip your chips in the dragon fruit tartar and wasabi mayo sauce which comes awesomely good. And not just that, the price comes simply affordable where they are priced at RM 69 ( full lobster) and RM 49 nett ( Half lobster)

Diners are given four choices of soup base – Herbal Chicken, Herbal Chicken with Kei Chi, Tom Yam or Ma La. Indulge in the steamboat with selection of ingredients of red and white meat, seafood, vegetables and mushrooms.
All in all, this place served pretty mediocre yet overpriced dim sum. It was a great place to hop into should you get attacked by a sudden dim sum crave while you're shopping, but I wouldn't travel all the way just to eat them.

The omelette – oooo man, now I get what the fuss is about. It was different. It was simple yet different. The texture was fluffy but solid. It was oily, buttery, flavorful – da bomb! The Butter Kailan was another delicious dish. I’ve never had kailan cut into suck tiny pieces and fried that they resembled tiny bits of green paper. That was how thin each pieces was, no joke. It was buttery yet crunchy and crispy, again like eating paper? Lol. I loved it
Beef Burger (RM30) - one of our favourite dishes here - we had this 3 meals in a row. Juicy beef patty sandwiched between melted cheddar, honey chilli aioli and crisp burger buns. Comes with French fries.
Nasi Lemak Ong is located at Level 8 of Pavilion Elite, there was a queue at lunch today but it did not take too long to get the ordered food to the table. Before 12 noon and after 3pm, a few choices of Goreng Goreng and Roti Canai are also available.
The Fried Chicken was meaty and flavourful and my son enjoys this big portion of the breast meat that goes well with his 'nasi banjir' - his yellow rice was totally drenched in the mixture of all kinds of curries gravy available.

This rice bowl was real good, I had a jolly good time eating it. It consisted of an egg, grilled chicken in teriyaki sauce, capsicum and rice. The teriyaki sauce was sweet-ish and when given a nice mix with all the other items in the bowl, you’d get a nice gooey, sticky, sweet rice bowl. Sticky thanks to the egg, it helped gel all the ingredients together. There were plenty of soft, chewy, boneless chicken, enough to last till the last spoon. The capsicum was an added bonus because it added texture, provided a ‘crunch’ to the whole dish. Very nice. Yum.
Seafood Aglio Olio (RM 22) One of the must to have here is the Seafood Aglio Olio. The perfectly tossed Linguine is served with the generous shrimps, garlic, squids as well as chili and parsley. The dish comes simply impressive where they are cooked al-dente and comes with the light kick of spiciness in it.
