Embark on a culinary journey like no other with exclusive fasting month offerings at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is presenting two exceptional dining events, promising an immersive experience into the rich tapestry of Malaysian and Nusantara cuisine.
The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful 5-star hotel located smack in the middle of the Golden Triangle… Location wise, it has one of the best locations around…
During our stay, we experienced the ultra spacious, luxe Grand Executive Suite (152 sq m), the epitome of opulence and elegance. Fresh orchids greeted us as we walked through the door into our suite, and we were immediately wowed by the vastness and well-appointed, stunning interior of the suite. The residentially-styled suite comes with a bedroom with a king-sized bed, marble bathroom with separate toilet, walk-in wardrobe, a spacious living area and dining area with a pantry (Nepresso coffee machine and a large fridge/freezer). The hotel also thoughtfully arranged two single rollaway beds for the kids as well as a welcome candy bar with delicious sweet treats.
As the Prestige Rosé flowed, we mingled and savoured the Champagne and elegance of the evening. A truly memorable evening of high quality champagne enhanced by the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s superb hospitality.
Reasons to stay: 1. Ultra spacious and well-maintained room amidst the grand, contemporary ambiance 2. Warm and charming Malaysian hospitality with full-fledged modern facilities in the hotel 3. Dynamic location where shopping malls and popular landmarks are within walking distance 4. Amazing food served at Thirty8, be it breakfast or dinner (Brownie point is given to the magnificent KLCC backdrop) 5. Outdoor free-form swimming pool with lush tropical greenery, spa and 24-hour fitness center to complete the rejuvenating stay
As the guest chef responsible for the Japanese-Australian Epicurean Affair menu for the hotel’s #DinewithChef series (24 August to 3 September), Fong then proceeded to guide Harris on the sushi-making masterclass.
Thirty8 is famous for its incredible view, overseeing the city skyline of Kuala Lumpur and The twin towers, while sipping on your tea, hanging out with your friends or family, and have some dessert.
Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.
Le Petit Chef in KL uses magic and your place setting to display the adventure of a tiny cook as he journeys in the footsteps of Marco Polo, serving you dishes from France, Arabia, India, the Himalayas, China, and the place you’re in.
The Grand Getaway at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is testament to the persistence and desire to thrive of the food and beverage scene in KL. Not willing to lay down their guns, they live the philosophy of “Go Grand or go home!”

I was mesmerized by experiential travel and dining through a full-on in-flight experience seated not just in an aircraft-like atmosphere but also embracing a real-time airport ambience too.
One of the signature (and popular) dishes here is the Nasi Ayam (RM55), aka chicken rice. Guests can opt for either roasted or poached chicken. We went for the roasted chicken and I was impressed by the generous portion that arrived. Tastewise, the chicken was tender and comes with three different dipping sauce - chilli, ginger and sweet soy sauce. The rice was pretty good too, as it was fragrant and flavorful. Overall, a pretty authentic rendition of a Malaysian favourite.
For the meat lovers, THIRTY8 offers Australian 'Diamantina' Red Wagyu or Black Angus Beef from Stanbroke Farms. We had the rib eye (350g, marbling score 6 - RM350), which was thoughtfully sliced for sharing. Beautifully tender, melt-in-the-mouth and flavorful meat, we certainly enjoyed this and went straight to steak heaven. So so good! I'm also eyeing the Tomahawk for my next visit, very reasonably priced at RM350 for 900g.
Do not miss out the Chinese Chicken Rice stall. You might but not in JP Teres Grand Hyatt buffet. Really good roasted chicken and poached chicken. Tender, juicy, pair perfectly with aromatic, fluffy chicken rice.
