Overall, I find that the mains provided by Otto's Deli Fresh are scrumptious and worth the money spent. It will be great to be back again for other stuff.
I had the Beef Stroganoff Fettucine, I was hoping for a little more beef, but for the reasonable price charged…it was probably wishful thinking. The fettucine was fresh and perfectly al dente. No complaints there!
It's opened by a veteran chef, a Otto Weibel who is former director of kitchens for Swissotel The Stamford Singapore and Fairmont Singapore for 26 years.
Spread the banana flesh onto the waffle and have it with some of the peanut butter gelato. The hot and cold combination worked excellently for a well fitting ending to the dinner.
In fact there were quite a number of dishes that sounded really interesting and I would have liked to try such as the Norwegian Salmon Cappelini, Braised Beef Cheeks and Wagyu Beef Rump.
A place of familiar comfort, Otto’s Deli Fresh warms us with the hearty deli offerings. Besides the red meats, there are also seafood pastas on the menu. For the remaining rainy December days, expect to find us warming up to a Hot Valrhona Chocolate.
I concurred with my fellow tasters, meats and the rest of the minimalist menu are the highlights at Otto's Deli Fresh. The rest of the worldly menu aren't quite as polarising and should be kept in check.
Will I Return Again? A good addition to the Holland Village vicinity. While I am less sure about the other mains, will definitely be keen to head back Otto’s Deli Fresh for its sandwiches and burgers, which are frankly to-die-for shioks.
In general, I find the mains at Otto’s Deli Fresh to be more outstanding while there are rooms for improvement for the desserts.
The man behind Otto’s Deli Fresh is Swiss-born Chef Otto Weibel, a veteran chef with more than 40 years of experience, including being Director of Kitchens at The Stamford & Fairmont in Singapore.
