Having tried some of their new dishes, I'm quite glad that I have enjoyed them.
Really flavourful and tender yong tau foo, well marinated with some smokiness. Nice and worth going back for.
The Popular Clementi Road Union “Chee Pow Kai” aka paper wrapped chicken located back to Jurong East.
One of the worthy meals to go for if you are looking for some nostalgic home cooked food especially.
Those little grey parcels above might look a bit unsightly, but they contained impressively tender and juicy chicken inside that had been handwrapped in paper and deep fried. They weren't as oily as one might think, and were slightly sweet and herbal, yet not dramatically so. They were bone-in, but easy enough to eat with chopsticks given how tender they were.
The taste of the dishes was adequate and hit the right spot. I will be back again for other dishes as the menu was quite extensive.
Not bad wok hei and flavour, with the fried rice grainy and slightly dry and the omelette silky soft and slippery. Although there were substantial chunks of crab, the crab was quite tasteless. I will come back to try other dishes but not this.
With limited stomach space, it would not be a surprise to be back again for other dishes.
Surprisingly, the taste of Sarawak Laksa was not too bad.
I will still want to make a trip back to have a taste of their Laksa.
