Not sure how we landed up here. This was recommended by our driver, and the seafood was indeed fresh and flavours punchy. It was a long drive out from Georgetown though.
Overall, we highly recommend the Assam laksa here, as it was our favourite bowl during this Penang trip. We enjoyed the well-balanced broth and flakiness of the mackerel bits.
One of the places that served unique Pan-Fried Hor Fun, Kafe 5126, Bukit Penara, Balik Pulau. The process of Pan-Fried Hor Fun really takes time and is not easy to prepare. This is something that you need to try if you haven’t.
Lok Khoon Coffee Shop is one of the great places in Balik Pulau that served many types of great food, from Ah Huat Pek Char Hor Fun to Chai Kuih and Golden Chicken Rice Balls as will as the thick and rich Hor Kar Sai Drink.

Get close to nature at Countryside Stables in Penang and feed the horses, pony, and donkey.
