The café chain which originated from Korea is known to be featured in a number of memorable scenes in hit Korean TV dramas Descendants of the Sun and Goblin: The Lonely and Great God.
The food and drinks offered at Dal.komm Cafe was relatively decent but overpriced.
Overall, dal.komm Coffee Singapore was a pleasant place for a coffee and dessert stop after our heavy chicken lunch at Roost, also in Centrepoint.
Ladies definitely will love it. The lychee aroma was very strong and the cake was moist, and flavourful. Guys might not like it as it was quite sweet for non sweet tooth person.
We have no lack of coffee chains in Singapore but Dal.Komm Coffee will probably be able to compliment the existing scene with its Korean brand name and strong music-centric theme.
Another feedback from our table was that prices are comparatively on the high side. I'm fine to pay a tad more for the beverages to experience a piece of Korean coffee culture, but perhaps not everyone would feel the same way.
The recommended is a Cherry Tomato Bingsu ($10.90, $15.90), probably the first of its kind in Singapore, which features freshly cut cherry tomatoes over fluffy shaved ice. The surprise is at the middle with some added plum powder.
The cafe is likely to offer a variety of coffee blends – from mild, rich, deep to Dutch.
