The decorations were pretty zen with Mount Fuji as a backdrop on one side of the wall with faux Sakura flowers by the side. The wooden decors and furnishing gave a good feel of a typical Japanese restaurant.

Overall A centrally located, stylishly simple budget stay in the heart of buzzing Johor Bahru township. Positives Good location, proximity to conveniences, clean and quiet. Negatives I’d contest the website’s claim that parking is convenient, unless you roll up in the morning after the restaurants, bars and clubs have closed and their patrons have made their way home. MBJB/MBIP parking is 60 sen/hour, which can be paid via the JomParking or MBJB apps.

I was literally blown away by the sheer amount of lard oil lubricating each strand of noodle; it gave one so much satisfaction, which was further enhanced when the teeth bit into the large pieces of crispy pork lard!
