This is another dish that I would have gone for. The salmon was perfectly executed and was just so darn good.
A’Roma Dinings is our favourite place for authentic, handmade pasta dishes.Think authentic, al-dente pasta lusciously coated with sauce. A food review.
Prosciutto Burrata E Carpione 👍 The highlight of this Hors d'oeuvre has definitely got to be the Burrata cheese. For those of you not in the know, Burrata looks like Mozzarella. They have the same appearance and texture, but that is where the similarity stops. Burrata is actually something like a cheesy pouch of Mozzarella stuffed with fresh cream and soft stringy curd. It is always served fresh and doesn't keep for very long, lasting no more than a day or two at the most. With its rich milky buttery taste, it goes very well with bread, so I was pleasantly surprised it made its way here with the Prosciutto.
Neighbourhood Italian eatery in Petaling Jaya, a’Roma dinings, debuts its new a la carte menu in collaboration with Chef Riccardo Milone.
The taste is slightly different compared to other carbonara pasta that we have eaten but it is delicious. We also got full quite fast probably due to the ingredients used (cheese, truffle oil, free range eggs, etc.) to cook this normal-looking yet tasty pasta. The other specialty of a’Roma Dinings is their insistence on fresh pasta. Their pastas are freshly made daily thus its texture is really different from those we buy from the supermarkets.
Porchetta (RM65++) Slow Braised then charred pork belly, stuffed with Gremolota of Drunken Prunes & Raisins, Apricot slices and grilled vegetables.
Reasons to visit: Hearty Italian fare, fantastic barista coffee, friendly staff, all pastas are made in house, a truly memorable rack of lamb and the mouthwatering Semi Freddo di Cioccolato.
We visited the place last weekend, and was surprised to find that a’Roma Dinings offer value Set Lunch 7 days a week, from 12PM to 4PM. A satisfying set that covers soup of the day, main course and iced lemon tea, only RM29.90. Add RM5 for Degayo coffee or Harney & Sons tea. Currently, they are using medium to dark roasted Indonesian blend, 100% Arabica coffee beans.
Our visit to a’Roma was a highly enjoyable one. To sum it up, good food, specially brewed coffees and teas, staffed with genuinely amiable people combined with a splendid ambience makes for a truly hospitable experience. Grab a date and check it out now!
a'Roma Dinings prides themselves in their handmade pasta, which is made fresh daily in-house. They've invested in a pasta machine (according to the owner, it's the same one that Jamie Oliver uses) to produce the best pasta for their diners. You will find pasta such as bucatini, fettucine, spaghettini, pappardelle and casarecce. One of their most popular pasta dishes is the casarecce alla puttanesca (RM38), which is pasta topped with slow braised pork cheek, sauteed bacon, mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. The casarecce had a lovely bite to it, complemented well by the rich sauce.
