The herby Summer Rolls (RM 6.90) were a joy, together with the Fish Sauce Chicken Wing (RM 6.90) that is very highly recommended by the owner, for a good reason. Let the first bite speak for itself and at that point it’s only the eyes that’s talking cause the lips are sealed munching on that delicious bites of succulent chicken
Anyway, like I’ve mentioned, the food prices here are incredibly affordable – the most expensive item on the menu is at RM17.90 and for that, you get a steaming bowl of Vietnamese pho with tender Australian Ribeye. The beef broth for noodles has been boiled for hours, resulting in a robust broth brimming with sweet natural meaty goodness. Good quality Australian beef is used, hence the beef noodles are priced at RM12.90 & above per bowl.
Pork Chop Dry Noodles RM9.90 Recommended dish, better than expected. Springy, Al-dente noodles coated with surprisingly delicious dark sauce, served with a large cut tender-moist pork chop deeply infused with flavours of marination. Top off with minced meat. If “Gon Lou Mein” is your all time favourite, this dish probably wouldn’t disappoint you.
Fish Sauce Chicken Wings are the Top Seller in Guess What menu. Fresh batches are made daily to meet the demand for these super addictive mouth-watering chicken wings. Well-marinated over long hours with premium fish sauce imported from Vietnam (not Thailand) and deep-fried to perfection without drying out the juice within the chicken, leaving a crispy skin with a juicy and flavoursome meat within.
Next, we had the Beef Internal Organ (RM12.90). This Pho comes with Beef Tendon (my favourite), Honey Comb Beef Stomach, Sponge Stomach and Heart although you can opt for Beef Shin instead. The broth was flavourful as the chef uses the Beef Neck Bone as the main base ingredients with 5 to 6 different spices that are added to it. The slightly darker coloured broth is boiled overnight for more than 8 to 10 hours.
Guess What is a Vietnamese restaurant that possesses the heart and soul of Vietnam, authentically comes through in everything they serve. The main dishes here are as affordable as they are delicious.
