I really liked the old-school noodles with ketchup and chilli. The noodles had good bite, was totally unclumpy, tasty, sweet, spicy and lardy. The her kiao was springy and tasty, and the handmade fishballs were soft and springy with a subtle fish flavour.

Hill Street Fried Kway Teow 禧街炒粿條 at Bedok South Market & Food Centre certainly has its fans, and is probably the top choice for many.
If the seafood version doesn’t quite hit the spot for you, then do what I did and ask for the plain old bak chor mee. I think you will agree with me that it is actually quite shiok!
