Ginger Wine Lala Soup with Noodles (RM 13) For fans of ginger, you will definitely love every mouthful of this. The hint of ginger are so good that I am totally indulged with it. I am loving the hint of ginger and they are well paired with the noodles itself.

Kenny’s Food Cart has been around since 1993 when Kenny’s father used to run the stall selling porridge at Alisan Road in Petaling Jaya. A few years ago, Kenny moved to their own restaurant at Kenny’s Food Cart in Aman Suria. Kenny continues the legacy with a new restaurant and a new business partner. After just months opening the restaurant, Ho Chak! a popular food TV program featured Kenny’s Food Cart on 8TV Malaysia. There were also many bloggers and friends gave good reviews on this restaurant.

Cantonese Style Loh See Fun, 8.50 ringgit Ooooo yum! Another yummy dish. I cant say I’ve had this particular dish with this thick of a noodle before. Yes, the noodles are usually short and thick but the ones here were thicker. I liked it, different but niceeee. The dish also came with minced meat, chicken, fried onions, spring onions, egg and etc. The soupy gravy was da bomb. The distinct taste of Chinese wine was more evident here – pleasant and not overwhelming. Yummy.

Besides porridge, there’s rice and noodles on the menu. I do recommend their Cantonese Style Loh See Fun and their signature Mushroom Pork Noodles. The bowl of Cantonese loh see fun may look kinda uninspiring in its pale gooey gravy topped with an egg but once I dug into it, I had to change my mind. That bowl of gooey noodles packed quite a punch in terms of taste and flavours. Try it and you’ll see. Cantonese Style Loh See Fun (RM8.50)

We tried the Fried Fish Belly Porridge too. The crunchy fish pieces, with sweet marine flavours submerged in smooth rice congee made for another bowl of good comfort food.

Minced pork and deep-fried pork lardons stirred with a whole egg make the Cantonese style Loh See Fun (RM8.50) a heartwarming option. Topped with plenty of fried shallot crisps and freshly chopped spring onion, the mixture of short, plump rice noodle strands with smooth, rich darn fah — wispy egg threads is a salubrious masterpiece of simplicity that you won’t tire of eating.

Braised chicken noodle. The cabbage is steamed so it's rather soft, bland on its own but you don't want it to compete with the noodle's gravy. The chicken was well marinated, long enough that you can taste it deep inside and the flesh was soft but not too much that it's falling off the bones. It is similar to wantan mee but a bit healthier since not as much oil involved.

Taking the family's business to greater heights, the son, Kenny relocated their food stall to a brick and mortar business at Taman Aman in Petaling Jaya. With a new name - Kenny's Food Cart and a new address, their menu offers the signature porridge 'Teng Chai Chuk', retaining much of diners favourites dishes such as Fish Head Noodles, Mushroom Chicken Noodles and Deep Fried Fish Paste among others.
